Purchased 2 It Casablanca cases 13 months ago and after 2 trips abroad they are falling to bits. Contacted customer service, sent them the pictures and apparently this is due to “fair wear and tear” It luggage 10 year warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.

    I travel a lot and this is the best luggage I've ever had. I bought the larger one from "world's lightest" set last year and I'm really happy with that one too. They've got everything a good luggage should have: they are easy to carry around, they have practical handles and pockets, they are very light, and good quality too.     Bought the small and medium cases in September 2013. They have been used a total of six times and the medium case has torn where there is a tube inside for the handle to retract into. As the cases have a 10 year guarantee I contacted customer services explaining the problem, but after sending copy receipts, copy guarantees, photographs of damage, photographs of suitcases and description of how the damage occurred (normal wear and tear), I was told that normal wear and tear is not covered by the guarantee. The guarantee only covers faulty workmanship and faulty material. I therefore asked them to supply me with a small piece of matching fabric so that I could patch the case using an upholstery needle. I was told that this was not possible. The cases are very lightweight and I was initially delighted with them, but be warned that the guarantee doesn't cover tears to the very thin fabric. The fabric on the corner of the small case is also showing signs of wear and looking very thin.

    First the pros - it is very lightweight, the handle being along the edges means the bottom is flat, and it wheels alright (not brilliant but adequate). However, this ultimately leads to some of the cons as well. By placing the support for the handle on the outside edge there is really no way of attaching anything to this bag (e.g., laptop bag, small carry-on). I also would not trust the stitching on the top handle to hold if an item were to be attached to it. The mesh pockets inside the lid on the bag are also not very useful and there is no pocket that can take A4 size papers (e.g., information printed out at home for a trip).

    This is something that the IT bag company needs to think about in its next design for this bag.

    I would only recommend this bag for use in situations where the weight limit is likely to be enforced and not as my day-to-day carryon bag.
