Lucy Bignall was born in Zambia and grew up in Africa and the Middle East. She studied at the Royal College of Music rather a long time ago, before getting married and emigrating to Australia, where she lived for fifteen years. At the end of 2014, she and her husband returned to the UK, along with their three teenagers, two cats, grand piano and no dog. They now live in a hairy house in Buckinghamshire, with new dog, where Lucy works as a violin teacher, performer, choir director and writer.
Lucy has had several short stories published in various magazines in Australia, the UK and America and is currently working on another novel.
