What a wonderful end to the Luca and Fallon story, it is very touching and powerful read. It is a very fast pace action packed story of love and betrayal. This story has many twist and turns, with mystery of how done it. It will take you to a life you have not seen before and teach you a few things about trust and loyalty. You will become part of the story and find yourself cheering for the crime boss. If you haven’t read For Fallon you should. I do have to say the author has grown and improved in her writing. I can see such a difference in For Luca. Not saying that For Fallon was an outstanding read it was. For Luca can be a standalone read, I recommend you do read For Fallon first. It fills you in on a lot of what is going on. The author does fill you on the important parts which makes this a standalone read if you so desire.

For Luca and Fallon they have had some trying times, trust seems to be the big issue. How they meet is wild and Fallon has to work through being setup by Luca to get information out of her that she doesn’t have. Then she has to work through what he does for a living which is way past what her mind can wrap around. This book picks up where the other one leaves off, they have parted ways because Fallon can’t deal with the fact that Luca is underboss of the Chicago Syndicate. Luca cannot forget about her, he starts drinking. Fallon is about to find out she needs him in more than one way.

Luca is a very powerful man, he is use to people jumping when he said jump that is everyone but Fallon. This is a case he can’t live with her and he can’t live without her. He is tore for he must put his job and the people who work for him first but he finds he is putting Fallon above that. He won’t live long if he doesn’t get his act together.

You know it's a 5 star worthy book when:

-It takes you out of a huge book hangover that you've been experiencing for a month. (Yes, a month!) *Check*
-You read for what seems like minutes but in reality hours have gone by. *Check*
-You want to read the book every free second you have. *Check*
-You get frustrated when you have to do mundane tasks when you could be reading the book. *Check*
-You read waaay past your bedtime even though you know you're going to hate yourself for it tomorrow and when tomorrow comes and you feel like a brick hit your head, you just think Eh, atleast it was worth it *Check*
-You purposely slow your pace dramatically trying to savour the last several chapters after you realise you have read majority of the book. *Check*

'For Luca' hit EVERY single spot. The writing along with the pace was brilliant. The story had the perfect blend of action and romance in it along with some dirty hot sex scenes ;) The double POVs let readers experience all the action taking place with Luca and Fallon which I loved since ALOT happens with these two seperately and when they are together.
And the epilogue has to be the best epilogue of the year. (You'll know why after you've read it)

*More good news: Adriano is getting his own book! I am so so so excited for this since I LOVE Adriano (He's mine by the way) and because I LOVED the small glimpses we got of his and Camilla's story.

If you haven't read For Fallon then you need to as this is a continuation of the story. My heart was broken at the end of book 1 and even though I was annoyed at Fallon I understood why she made that decision even though she left Luca adrift and heartbroken. Both are struggling with that decision, I wanted to shake Fallon and Luca is still looking out for her. There were parts of this one that truly shredded my heart, Fallon has to dig deep and find her inner strength. We know Fallon is at the heart of this but we just don't know the reasons behind it and there are secrets that come out that I never saw coming. Soraya has done an excellent job with the continuation of this story, the writing is excellent and manages to convey all the feelings of the main characters at times you can taste their pain. There is still so much to come from the Chicago Syndicate series and I cant wait to read more from this autho

This fantastic story about Fallon and Luca wasn't just about the fine lines between love and hate, it was about trust. Learning to trust the 1 person who has your heart irrivocably, learning to trust again after that love and trust has been broken into tiny pieces.

At the start of this story it takes us back to after Luca and Fallon had broken up. It's obvious that they both still love each other deeply, their love is now tainted with so much deciept and so many lies its impossible to find a way back to the place they were, Luca is left a broken man but they still share this invisible bond that binds them together.
Circumstances and those that are above the law are playing with Fallons life and she is once again thrown at the mercy of the 1 man who would protect her no matter what, even with his own life.

I absolutely love Fallon's character. She is both nieve and smart and has a strength that she doesn't even realise she posseses. The references to her new found love of the tv show charmed made me smile, I love that show too, it was nice to see her find comfort in something so normal. My heart broke for her time after time for all she had to endure and suffer but it was wonderful to watch her fight for what she, at first, she struggled to believe in and understand. The strength, love and trust she put in Luca. Their bond was so heartwarming even when they were broken they never gave up and Luca, the cold calculating mafia boss, never gave up hope. This man has a heart of gold where his woman is concerned. I loved him for fighting for her, even in his darkest moments Fallon was always his light.
I know that this is the end of Fallon and Luca's story. And such a wonderful ending, yes I cried, just beautiful and perfect for them.
