Lowepro is one of the trusted and professional photographers have relied on their products since 1967. These photographers carry Lowepro bags over the world-in every kind of climate and in every kind of condition-and rely on the inventive designs to provide protection, accessibility, comfort and durability they can trust.
Go from carry mode to ready mode in moments with the camera sling bag. Designed for photojournalists and readily adopted by enthusiasts for its fast-access, comfortable design.
The camera sling bag design allows quick rotation from back to front to access gear.
The camera compartment features padded and adjustable divider system and will fit a DSLR with attached compact zoom lens and 1-2 extra lenses or a flash. There’s memory card pockets on the inside lid providing quick access to spare memory while the built-in microfiber cleaning cloth keeps lenses free of dust and smudges.
Smooth operating easy-glide zippers offer fast access to all compartments. Organiser pockets provide quick access to small accessories and personal items and our Patented, built-in All Weather AW protects your gear from the elements.
The Hideaway Tripod Mount system secures a compact tripod or monopod to side of sling and SlipLock attachment loops allow you to expand carrying capacity using compatible accessories.
From the manufacturer
The Trusted Original
Lowepro was born from one daring mountaineer’s desire to capture some of the world’s most unexplored beauty spots, with just a camera in tow. Greg Lowe made it his mission to create only the best in innovative, cutting-edge equipment, to protect extreme sporting lovers’ cameras and cinematography equipment from the heart-pounding elements.
The humble Colorado garage beginning of the world’s first Internal Frame Backpack in 1967 pays tribute to Lowe’s enduring belief that he could be the one to design a close-fitting and supportive backpack to transport camera and recording equipment that had otherwise never been seen before. Climbers, mountain bikers, skiers and hikers could now comfortably carry their equipment to heights that only they had known, capturing intimate sights for the rest of the world to see.
Lowe’s first defying feat paved the way for the original Soft-sided Protective Camera Bag, also to be the first of its time.
And with that, the Lowepro mark took off. Fast forward to today and Lowepro has seen the creation of the first ever waterproof camera backpack, and continues to innovate each year to keep up with the demands of a fast-paced, ever changing world of technology and photography.
Ready for action
A sling bag designed to respond to your movements. The SlingShot’s across the body strap allows for a quick bag rotation from back to front in a number of seconds. Because when the inspiration hits you, every moment counts.
Easy-glide zippers and a Hideaway Tripod Mount system secures your tripod or monopod in place, further enhancing the accessibility of this camera bag.
The SlingShot series offers so much space for all your equipment and accessories. Unzip the main compartment and find an adjustable divider system inside, padded for the added protection of your camera. There’s also plenty of room to store away extra lenses and flashes for easy transportation.
A zippered slash pocket at the top of the sling houses UV filters, keys, a phone, and any other personable items you wish to bring along for the shoot. Built-in memory card pockets on the inside lid add an innovative and handy touch.
More than just a bag
The new generation SlingShot has been designed to listen and speak to your photography needs and is structured around customer feedback on former generations of the SlingShot.
With the latest design in the SlingShot series, you’d be mistaken in thinking this is just a bag. The new generation SlingShot collection comes with a built-in microfiber cleaning cloth to care for lenses. This can be easily tucked away again in the stretch mesh pocket, out of the way of the camera when not needed.
A built-in All Weather AWCover covers the sling bag and its contents, to protect the contents from extreme photography taking place in severe weather conditions. 2 SlipLock attachment loops enable wearers to attach even more gear to their SlingShot if the compartmentalised interior and Hideaway Tripod Mount system isn’t quite enough.

Top customer reviews
As mentioned, only upgrading as I've finally outgrown it, but I love this little bag, could easily fit my D300 + batter grip + 17-50mm Sigma lens on, and I kept 2 SB800s (and triggers) in the 2 back compartments, and a 50mm 1.8 and 55-200mm in the other two slots, with spare 8xAA's, 4xAAAs, spare camera battery, ND filter, wireless trigger (for the camera) all in the centre compartment. It would get heavy after longer shoots like weddings, but then so does everything. All the weight is all on one shoulder, and there's no option to flip it over to the other side, so if you go on long treks or anything like that do bare it in mind, but hardly a deal breaker, just suck it up and suffer for your craft. Also there's something really satisfying about using the rain cover, not often that I do, so it's good to make use of it and never feared for anything inside. Overall, love this, handy as anything to just whip your camera out.
First, it is deceptively large. The main compartment will hold my DSLR (including the battery grip) with my 70-200 f2.8 attached, plus my 24-70 f2.8, 50 f1.8, x2 convertor, 150 f2.8 & 17-40 f4. The top compartment will comfortably hold a flashgun & battery pack along with spare batteries. The front pocket is big enough to hold a few filters and a cleaning kit.
Second, as with most of the LowePro bags, it comes with a built in weather cover which can be deployed quickly.
Third, the key selling point of this bag is the unique "Slingshot" action. This enables the wearer to swing the bag around from its usual vertical position on the wearer's back to a horizontal position in front of the wearer. Despite the awkward sounding nature of this, it is actually quite comfortable and remarkably practical. The horizontal position of the bag provides not only easy access to the contents of the bag without the need to take it off, but also a useful shooting platform (well it helps a little when hand holding shots and there's nothing else to brace yourself against)
It's worth bearing in mind just how much kit you can fit in this bag - and the weight that goes with that. This can be a heavy bag when fully loaded. This can lead to discomfort when carrying IF you haven't adjusted the straps correctly. It is well worth spending a few minutes making sure that the straps are set properly - it could make the difference between a comfortable trip and a trip filled with shoulder ache and back pain.
A great bag - currently my favourite due to its size, practicality and the fact that it is much lighter and more portable than my other bag (a Vertex 200)
