From the manufacturer
The Trusted Original
Lowepro was born from one daring mountaineer’s desire to capture some of the world’s most unexplored beauty spots, with just a camera in tow. Greg Lowe made it his mission to create only the best in innovative, cutting-edge equipment, to protect extreme sporting lovers’ cameras and cinematography equipment from the heart-pounding elements.
The humble Colorado garage beginning of the world’s first Internal Frame Backpack in 1967 pays tribute to Lowe’s enduring belief that he could be the one to design a close-fitting and supportive backpack to transport camera and recording equipment that had otherwise never been seen before. Climbers, mountain bikers, skiers and hikers could now comfortably carry their equipment to heights that only they had known, capturing intimate sights for the rest of the world to see.
Lowe’s first defying feat paved the way for the original Soft-sided Protective Camera Bag, also to be the first of its time.
And with that, the Lowepro mark took off. Fast forward to today and Lowepro has seen the creation of the first ever waterproof camera backpack, and continues to innovate each year to keep up with the demands of a fast-paced, ever changing world of technology and photography.
Travel friendly camera bag
Travel friendly backpacks to transport your camera gear to new destinations. The Pro Runner series features a divisible camera compartment, front and side pockets and a hideaway Tripod Mount system to hold all your indispensable equipment without compromising movement.
A discreet zippered front pocket is ideal for carrying your passport, wallet and other essential personal items. The Pro Runner X450 converts from backpack to camera rolling bag, aiding transportation of heavy loads and making it indispensable for travel photographers.
The Pro Runner maximises capacity to create a fully secure backpack that can be strapped down to minimise the space it fills. Ideal for carrying a DSLR, lenses, a tripod or monopod and personal tech.
The interior camera compartment of the Pro Runner is fully padded to protect your DSLR from any impact during travels. Adjustable compartments allow you to alter internal storage to precisely cushion lenses, flashes and all other gear for a tight, protective fit.
Great for photojournalists and adventuring photographers
Photojournalists and adventuring photographers already have the added weight of a camera in their luggage, without taking into account the extra kilograms of a camera bag. You need a lightweight bag that vows to protect and hold all necessary camera gear. And with the Pro Runner series, that is exactly what you get.
Still providing the very best in comfort and protection to camera gear with a padded adjustable camera compartment, the Pro Runner remains lightweight and compact. Store away your camera gear in the padded compartment, available in larger models, with a breathable back for carrying comfort.
SlipLock attachment loops increase the carrying load capacity for this bag, with a hideaway Tripod Mount stowing tripods or monopods away in the front, keeping the space occupation of this bag to a minimum so it still passes as carry-on luggage (we advise you check with your airline first to confirm size dimensions comply). A waterproof All Weather AWCover is included with this backpack, ensuring that your bag and its contents are kept dry, and can be quickly folded away when not in use. The flexible storage systems utilise each square centimetre of backpack space so you can easily organise and store all professional camera gear ready for use.

Typical padded construction with inserts that can be moved to suit your needs. This creates a very versatile bag that can carry a lot of kit. I typically carry the following in mine:
- Canon 5D mkIII with battery grip and wrist strap
- Canon 50mm f1.8
- Canon 100-400mm L with hood reversed
- Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 with hood attached correct way round
- Canon 430 EX flash
- Battery holder with 12 x AA cells
- Extra optional AA battery insert for grip
- Canon 10x42 L IS binoculars with neck strap
- Flash diffuser, SD cards, HDMI Cable, recording post
- Tripod or monopod
I am also able to store the camera with any of the above lenses attached and the others elsewhere without changing the insert layout. Very handy.
There is still room for more! With the above it makes for a heavy setup but the ability to store and carry large amounts of kit in a bag this size is fantastic. I love that I can adapt the inserts to take my binoculars too, very handy.
With this amount of carrying ability you really do need the twin strap backpack style bag. This means you do not have quick access but is worth it I think. You will perhaps want a smaller day bag for times when you only have the camera or basic setup.
Bag has rain cover, zip rain covers, zip pulls, locking straps for the zips and a few other nice touches that are a sign of a well-made bag from a good company.
If you need to carry a lot of camera gear I would recommend this without hesitation.
The depth for me was essential, as I can keep my battery grip on my FX Nikon camera all the time and it will hold my speedlights in a vertical position as well, in their carrying cases.
It will hold all my lens, my umbrellas and all the other triggers and bits and pieces you end up using
Excellent padding not only on the inside but on the outside where it comes into contact with you body, and on the hip and over-the-shoulder straps. Everything is fully adjustable and the customisation of the inside is fantastic.
I tend to keep all my camera gear in it here at home and take what I want from it when I go out, using other bags that dont shout out expensive camera gear, as I do a lot of street photography!
But excellent backpack for hiking to do landscapes or just chucking in the car.
And I have teemed it up with a cheap sack truck and turned into a mobile studio with lightstands attached as well.
Finally!! found a great bag! I have absolutely no negatives to say about this bag, meets all my current needs (and future needs!)
Right now, the equipment I have is:
18-55 mm lens
Fujifilm S9600w Bridge camera
and am waiting for the Tamron 150-600 Nikon fit superzoom lens which comes in at roughly 11" (~26 cm in length) without hood (with hood ~35cm or 14" and I do believe that it will fit in quite nicely right down the middle (length down the middle of case is over 15"/38)
So am very pleased and once again, great service from Amazon
