Before reading this book I really didnt know what to expect. I wondered how ADHD would fit into a romance book and how it would all play out.

BUT Loving the White Liar, exceeded all my expectations. This wonderful, raw gripping yet beautiful story of love, hurt, happiness, sadness and hope is truly breathtaking.

Kate has a way of pulling you so far into a story that you get lost. You get so wrapped up in that story and her characters that you feel every emotion, every tear drop is shared and every heartbreaking minute is absorbed and then sits deep within your soul.

As somebody who works with people with Disabilities and Mental Health disorders it was actually refreshing to have the lead male character, who despite everything, I fell in love with, have a condition such as ADHD. The brutally honest way that this story is written was just that honest and perfect in every way!

By no means is this your fairy tale love story with the brooding bad boy player alpha and the girl who changes him. No, this is so much better, this is a deep truthful look into a troubled mind of an ultra fit delicious male and the woman that doesn't manage to change him but manages to loves him, flaws and all!

Oh my days this is one hell of a book! I freakin' loved it! You know you're onto a winner when you can't help but take the book with you everywhere, because you just have to sneak in a couple more chapters.

When you read the synopsis and realise the book is about to tackle the subject of ADHD then you know that the author must be completely knowledgeable for it to work. Now whilst I don't have a complete understanding of someone who has ADHD, as well as what it is like for those living with that person, I really do believe this book has been an eye opener for me and the author obviously has vast knowledge and understanding of the disorder.

In addition to me having a greater understanding of the subject, this is also an incredibly sexy read. Jayden is the whole package for me. He's so sexy and at the same time theres an incredible vulnerability about him that as a reader, I found it hard not to love him.

As for Hilary, I really liked her. I'm sure she'd be the first to tell you she had her faults in this book, but that's what you have to expect with a story like this. Love isn't always plain sailing and that for me is one of the many reasons why I couldn't put this completely unique standalone down.

This is my second book by Kate Stewart and I have to say she is an author I will definitely be adding to my list of 'Must Reads', because once again, I have been completely blown away.

What a fantastic book. I have loved reading all of Kate's books but this one has to be my favourite.

It's witty, heartbreaking, emotional and written brilliantly.

The two main characters Hilary and Jayden are so well matched. They bond and blend and truly have an amazing but hard work relationship.

The struggles they have to overcome would make the easiest of relationships break but they share something spectacular, they fight for each other. Hilary loves jayden so much and it shows with what she has to live with being with him.

I really can't say much as its just going to spoil the book.

I can definitely say this is one book you don't want to miss out on.

“You’re my best friend,” he said tearfully, “my lover, my strength, my reason for being, which I never thought was possible. I never thought there was anyone for me.” He was openly crying as I looked down at him.”

Loving the White Liar is Hilary A Monroe, Hil’s story how she came to be and had to cope with being in a relationship with man with ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder).

While doing laps in the pool at her apartment complex travel agent Hilary meets a charming neighbor woodworker Jayden Monroe, Jay. They both feel an attraction; flirting leads to dating which quickly leads to a deep friendship and much more. But along the way their relationship plateaus Hil not understanding why. There are signs… subtle at first; white lies Jayden not have had any successful relationships…

It turns our Jayden has a secret; He has ADHD. Naïve, ignorant and unprepared Hil forges ahead with their relationship. The story goes on to follow them in sky-high ups and rock-bottom lows as she discovers what dealing with ADHD truly entails. Needless to say this causes both stress and strain on their relationship.

It’s a candid look into the complexity of ADHD. That said contrary to what I expected this is Hil’s journey. Jayden had already been proactive with his condition, structuring his life is such a way that he was functioning. I have so much respect for him.

JAYDEN A. MONROE, Jay: 27 years/Woodworker/Dark brown hair/Purple eyes/Tattoos/ADHD.
Jayden Monroe, Jay has overcome so much and learned to function in a very intolerant, fast paced society despite his ADHD. There was nothing that bothered me about what he said or did. I felt there were mitigating circumstances for everything.
