Loving Storm is not a standalone, it is a continuation of the first book in Carian Cole’s Ashes and Embers series. So, if you haven’t read the first you will need to go back and do so. It’s absolutely no hardship as Strom is a great book. It had been so long since I’d read it that I actually went back and did a re-read (something I don’t do).
I forgot how sweet their story was to be honest and it was fantastic to get a continuation and see how Evie and Storm ended up. I loved that Evie was a lot surer in her attitude and it seemed she’d come on leaps and bounds, with the help of Storm. This couple were destined for a Happy Ever After. Loving Storm is exactly that.
Really, there isn’t all that much to say on this book except it’s enjoyable and an easy read. Die hard Ashes and Embers fans will love it. There’s some extremely low angst in there, nothing that makes you want to throw your kindle, and a whole lot of love.
What I did notice was how far Carian Cole has come as a writer from that very first Ashes and Embers book. You can feel the author is comfortable in her skin with the series characters and did an excellent job writing this. The reason for the four stars is only because it lacked a little ‘oomph’ for me. I guess I’m not all that used to sweet reads and this is exactly what Loving Storm is. Highly recommended, and if you haven’t had the pleasure of reading this series, or any of this author’s work for that matter, you best be taking a look. You’re missing out on some fantastic stories.
♥ STORM ♥
I have been looking forward to Loving Storm as soon as it was announced. The first book Storm has been one of my favourites since it was released. So before reading this I listened to the Audiobook to refresh my memory. This almost carries on from the first one, and it was wonderful edition to the series. Evie is very highly strung and it was cute to see how Storm could calm with his presence.
THIS COUPLE IS SO CUTE
I loved it, it was the after that intense time when you first get together. This was learning about each other and tackling the logistics of making a relationship work. I loved the wider family and their get togethers and Storm’s Gran was lovely. I’m not going to wax lyrical about this book. If you enjoyed Storm, you are going to love this. If you haven’t read Storm why not? Some of Ashes and Ember have been some of my all-time favourites, and I hope we are going to get the Audio edition so I can listen to it as well. This was the icing on the top of a chocolate cake for me as it really finishes Storm and Evie’s story
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review
She blows you away yet again.
Ashes and Embers is a series that you can pick up and read over and over again.
When I first read Storm I fell in love with him.
He is the perfect book boyfriend. You want to be loved by a man like Storm
Also can see so much of my life in Evie.
After reading all about Storm I knew that I wanted more and did the author give all fans of Storm and Evie more in this Novella.
I laughed and I cried with the couple.
This Novella catches up with the couple from there engagement right through to there wedding.
What shows up in this fantastic book for me is you can feel there love for each other. How they can read through ups and downs in there life.
I am hoping that there will be more books about Storm and Evie in the future because I am hoping that this is not the end with happily ever after but the beginning of there life together.
A perfect additional 4 stars goes to Loving Storm. I love these characters, I missed these characters and it was brilliant catching up with how Storm and Evie are moving on in loved up bliss.
I love Carian's writing which is always perfectly balanced with intimate and off the charts hotness a little bit of drama and swoon-worthy moments and Loving storm is all those things.
Characters from previous books make an appearance as Storm and Evie finally make wedding preperations and Carian gave subtle hints within the plot of other characters that I hope will get their own story's too.
A swoon worthy addition to Storm and Evie's journey, loved it.
Told in first persons dual pov & leads to a happy sigh ending.
Arc received for review purposes
This is Storm and Evie and the continuation of their story.
I cried, laughed, sighed and fell in love with them all over again. Storm and Evie are one of my favourite book couples from one of my favourite authors. If you have not read any of Carians books you seriously need to, she is an amazing author that has your emotions all over the place and her characters pull you in and you cannot put it down without wanting to know what happens next.
Well awarded 5*
Catching up with most of them was great. This book made me laugh smile and cry. The epilogue was perfect.
The dedication was lovely, though I would say thank you Carian for giving us your wonderful stories and so we can escape every day life.
Loving Storm is a fantastic follow up to Storm by Carian Cole. It's beautifully written and such a sweet story, you will not want it to end.
We pick up right where we left off in the first book. Evie and Storm are now planning their wedding and their happily ever after but with the return of a jealous ex and a few surprises thrown in will everything go to plan?
A fab 5 star read for me and one I would highly recommend but please make sure you read book one 'Storm' first.
