Bought for my wife to complete this series by Karen Kingsbury, as yet it has not been read but as she enjoys this writer's books she is
reading the earlier volumes and can continue the complete range in this series Chas , Liverpool

downloaded this to my kindle although the first three books in the series were paperback. Excellent book but should have bought the book to complete my set! I love Karen Kingsbury's books, but this one although excellent felt just a bit long winded.

This series ends with this masterly story Loving by Karen Kingsbury, with a beautiful depiction of the conflicts involved in romance where the characters are having other factors pulling them away from the ones they love. How the lovely Bailey resolves her conflicting passions is the epic of the story. It reminds me of the miniature way another conflicting soul resolved hers in The Doctors by Janvier Chando. It would be good to continue the series. I enjoyed it and would like to have more of it.

I was eagerly awaiting the finale of the Bailey Flanigan series. I have to admit I didn't enjoy books 2 or 3, it felt like heavy going reading them, however, this one didn't disappoint me. It does tackle issues within relationships and I was unsure who Bailey was going to end up marrying. I feel Karen Kingsbury's writing has gone slightly downhill since the Baxter series. I enjoyed them so much more than this series. Still, a good read and good Christian fiction which is so hard to get.

**CONTAINS SPOILERS**

Received the "last" book in the Bailey Flannigan Series today and read as far the first paragraph break in the second chapter. Here Bailey, after praying for Cody's future partner, directs our thoughts to Andi Ellison who hasn't appeared since the "Above the Line" Series. As soon as I read that, I realised that Cody was not destined for Bailey, as I, and probably many other people had hoped, since first investing our time (and money) in the entire Baxter Family series and all the spin-offs that came out of it. After reading that I skipped to the final few pages and lo and behold Bailey marries Brandon.

I now find myself unable to read the remainder of the book, as this has left me deeply disappointed with the direction Karen Kingsbury has taken with these books and especially with one of the main characters Bailey Flannigan. The last 2-3 books of this series have produced a very different Bailey Flannigan from the one we were originally introduced to - she has become selfish, self-absorbed, perfect, only concerned with her feelings and how people should treat her and no longer the character we all took to heart. With this complete change in character, the whole tone of the series changed and suddenly we have been taken down a road that doesn't seem believable, real or true to the characters that have been so well protrayed up until the last couple of books.

Karen Kingsbury is a great and gifted writer but in the final 2 -3 books in this series, she seems to have lost her direction. She readily admits that the character Bailey Flannigan is based on her daughter Kelsey and with a very little research it is easy to see that she has now changed the character Bailey's future to align with that of Kelsey's.

I'm so sad to have to say goodbye to the series based on Bailey Flanigan! I would recommend it to anyone who loves fiction and who loves getting to know the characters as though they are real.

As with all of Karen Kingsbury's books this one was excellent. I have read all four of the Bailey Flanigan series and this one brought the story to a great conclusion. P Webb

A very light romantic story, showing the ups and downs of true love. It also reveals the damage that is done when we do not speak the truth at all times.
