Product description

About the Author

KL Grayson is a USA Today bestselling author. She is entertained daily by her extraordinary husband, who will forever inspire every good quality she writes in a man. Her entire life rests in the palms of six dirty little hands, and when the day is over and those pint-sized cherubs have been washed and tucked into bed, you can find her typing away furiously on her computer. She has a love for alpha-males, brownies, reading, tattoos, sunglasses, and happy endings...and not particularly in that order.

I've had this book for a while and eventually decided to read it. What was I missing. This story is gripping and an emotional rollercoaster. It's a love story of 2 friends and what their lives are like over a period of 10 years after they was cruelly split up. I was rooting for the pair of them and I absolutely loved it.

This story really pulled me in, it is well written, emotional and so romantic...oh and be prepared to cry. Basically it's about two friends who meet as children, fall in love as teenagers but are then separated for 10 years. Serendipity connects them again but they are not together because he is a soldier in Iraq. The way it is written tugs at your heart. Highly recommended.

Holy cow...I can't find words that would do justice to this book and its authors!
From the beginning the descriptive hooked me and dragged me into the lives of the characters. I was there amongst them, laughing...crying...hurting and feeling the fear and the love.
Total awesomeness, a book not to be missed. Thank you!

Wow!

This is one of the most powerful and emotional books I've read in a very long time.

A beautifully written, heartbreaking and epic love story that moved me beyond words.

I'm not sure what it is about this book that grabbed me from word one and didn't let go. Possibly because it's written by two authors who did a fantastic job transitioning between the dual POV's? Add to that there was no unnecessary drama, a gorgeous second chance love story, honesty with each other and two really likeable characters.

What really stood out for me was that although Katie was engaged to Wyatt when she started writing to Devin to try and help her move on from her loss, she broke it off with Wyatt before she even realised that the old feelings she had for Devin were still there, and still as strong as ever. I read a review that said she strung Wyatt along, she didn't. Not at all! In fact she was super honest and had to work to make Wyatt understand where she was coming from and why. Although I don't mind cheating in books in the least - there is NO cheating in this one, nor is there a triangle. It was always only going to be all about Katie and Devin.

One thing that stood out for me was Devin's "voice". I'm guessing B.T. Urruela wrote his part, and it was absolutely brilliantly done.

I honestly can't find any reason to rate this less than 5 stars, I enjoyed it so much. In fact, I picked this up as a KU book but am going to buy it to add to my library as this will be a re-read sometime in the future.

Katie and Devlin, such a wonderful second chance love. They've know each other since they were kids, at 17 they declare a grown up love for one another, however fate intervenes and Devlin's mother (awful witch of a person) moves Devlin away, they make promises to each other to stay in touch but for whatever reason unknown to Katie, Devlin left without a trace and 10 years have passed. This is where we pick up again, Katie engaged to childhood friend Wyatt and Devlin a so!dier in Iraq.
So emotional what they both go through, tragedy and heartbreak. So good though, tissue's needed especially the ending. P!ease read this, a great insight into soldiers on the front line.

OK where do I start. I'm not great at writing reviews and don't write long ones as not great with putting my thoughts into words but here it is.

I loved this book even though it did take me a bit to get into it. It was a beautifully emotional and sweet story. It was so well written that I couldn't not get sucked into the emotions of it. Loved the relationship between Devin and Katie, and Devin and his brothers.

This is a must read and will definitely be reading more from the authors. Well done it was an amazingly written story.

It's very difficult for me to put into words just how much I loved this story and I don't think anything I do say will truly give it the justice it deserves.
What Urruela and Grayson has produced together is story so full of emotion it pulls you in from the start and refuses to release you from its grasp. You wouldn't have guessed that 2 authors wrote this. It was blended perfectly.

Being a military wife, I connected with Katie a lot and understood all the anguish and worry she had during Devin's deployment. The letters, emails and phone calls (no matter how short) were the most anticipated, beautiful and lifesaving things to happen and I seen myself reflecting on the time my husband was deployed and how much I looked forward to them. They made me smile, laugh and cry.

A truly beautiful story of love, loss, hope and everything happens for a reason. A brilliantly written story that will knock you on your ass and leave you in tears but so, so happy at the same time.
