Oh where to begin with the emotional mess this book has left me in, it’s difficult to put the feelings into words. We met Camryn and her somewhat difficult Husband Glenn, in Love, Carry My Bags and I Loved That About Her is essentailly a retelling of their story from Glenn's POV. I am not always a lover of return POV's but after reading Camryn's story I really wanted to know Glenn's side of things and get to understand what goes on in this man’s head hopefully. We learnt of Glenn's fate in book 1 and this is pretty much a beyond the grave observation of his life.
We also learnt at the end of book 1 that Glenn in fact has Adult ADHD though this condition is not known fully to Glenn in the story. As a mother of an ADHD sufferer I have to say the author has done a wonderful job of explaining how the logic of an ADHD sufferers mind truly works, so much so that I had to message to thank her for bringing this condition to the wider audience.
So Glenn, he is a lovely man but his condition just doesn't allow him to see how his ways affect his wife so much and it is heart breaking to see Camryn go through some of the difficult situations all over again. He just sits back, sticks to his guns and goes off on a whim and does as he thinks best before discussing anything with his wife. Had we not be in his head and seeing how this is all perfectly logical in his thinking you would be wanting to throw your ereader/book across the room in the same frustration Camryn deals with. We do also hear from Camryn again in a few chapters which was nice to have her input to certain situations.
The book is again told in an autobiography style of writing which works really well and again it really does feel that you are reading true life.

I have been a fan of C R Everett since I read Love Carry My Bags,

As much as I liked LCMB I completely and utterly loved this book, I think as the story has always really been about Glenn how his ADHD had affected Camryn and how her life was shaped because of him, it was only right that the story got told from Glenn's point of view because that was going to be the only way you inderstood how for every action there is a reaction.

For most people Glenn wasn't very nice, but for I never really disliked Glenn, I just never understood his motives or reasoning for the things that he done and this was completely explained in I Loved That about Her.

I can't imagine how hard it is to be in that sort of relationship, Glenn is selfish, he only does what he wants and doesn't really think about his actions, this in turn constantly causes a reaction from Camryn, was she weak for staying with him, I don't think so I think it takes a strong person not to give up on he person you love.

I really enjoyed the series, I bawled my eyes out in parts, it was a fantastic read,

5 stars from me

5.0 out of 5 stars "Men just don't understand!" 7 Jun. 2014
By Sue Kasten - Published on Amazon.com

"Men just don't understand!" is statement that women have used often. In I Loved That About Her, we get an insightful look into one man's life as he proves the old adage true. From Glenn's point of view, he shows us why some men really might have trouble understanding not only women, but everyone else as well. Even though Glenn seems to be breaking Camryn's heart and causing trouble with other people regularly, he really just wants to love and be loved. At times, I found myself feeling sorry for Glenn because of the obstacles he had to overcome due to having undiagnosed ADHD. Other times, I just wanted him to let Camryn go because he was so selfish. He was wise enough to see in Camryn that he had found someone strong enough to love him and help him deal with life. Glenn does realize that he needs to change some things in order to keep Camryn around. Have a sobsopper handy. ;)

This is another thought provoking, tear jerking, insightful novel by CR Everett. Keep writing CR, we are hungry for more of your stories!

5.0 out of 5 stars Never Judge a Book (er, person) by its Cover 11 April 2014
By Ada Lape - Published on Amazon.com

I had the wonderful opportunity to read book one in this series, Love, Carry My Bags, and was so excited when CR Everett released this second book, providing a whole new perspective on Glenn. Everett, once again, penned a story where you see the nuts and bolts of a person--what holds them together, and what pulls them apart when pushed to the limits that life sometimes hurls at you. I walked away a better person for having read it and experiencing Glenn's journey in life. I vacillated back in forth in Love, Carry My Bags with despising Glenn and feeling sorry for him. In I Loved That About Her, I'm shocked to say, that I loved him a little. Thank you for the great read, CR Everett. Once again, you taught me to never judge a book, er person, by its cover.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Loved That About Her is eyeopening.... 20 May 2014
By Alice Workinger - Published on Amazon.com

I could not put this book down. After reading “Love, Carry My Bags” I didn’t believe it was possible to dislike Glenn and his actions any more than I already did. But to hear the story from his point of view, with his “oh, well, whatever” attitude about why he acts as he does, makes one even more upset with him. He realizes that, maybe, his attitude and actions are not right, but since he does not know how to be any different he just brushes it off and carries on.

The fact that one of his teachers recognized his “problem” early on makes me wonder why nothing more was done for him in the early years. I understand that there are some parents who think there is nothing wrong with their child, even if a teacher points out that perhaps that child needs to be evaluated. Glenn suffered, in his own way, not knowing WHY he was the way he was.

Excellent writing, C. R. Everett.
5.0 out of 5 stars loved reading from two different POV's! 21 April 2014

I Loved That About Her is written from Glenn's pov (who we first met in Love, Carry My Bags) and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I wasn't a fan of Glenn in Love, Carry My Bags, but I knew I had to read this book to see how things went down from his pov. Well, it was still an emotional read similar to book one, but I was surprised to actually feel sorry for both Glenn and Camryn, instead of just Camryn. Neither of them had it easy, but they did have love and devotion, even though they may have showed it in different ways. I really enjoyed this book, it was the first time I have read the "same" book but from a different pov, and it was definitely a unique experience. If you are looking for a good book, definitely check out Love, Carry My Bags and then this book!!! You won't be disappointed!!
3.0 out of 5 stars Love Carry My Bags was an eye-opener for me 2 Sept. 2014

Love Carry My Bags was an eye-opener for me. It really impacted me, and I adored the book. This was somewhat redundant, but I believe it was meant to be that way. It was the same events from a different perspective, as a person with ADHD, it was a difficult read for me, because I could relate so well. I only know ADHD from a female perspective, so from a man's point of view, I found a little disturbing. I love C.R. Everett, she was the spark that set me on my course to authorship, so I thank her. If it weren't for Love Carry My Bags, and C.R. Everett, I don't know if I would have even had the idea or inspiration to give it a go. Thanks C.R.
