Read it, loved it and devoured it all over again!

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. I read it whilst in Paris for a weekend and ignored most of the beautiful sights because I was so engrossed in Trevor's witty and insightful words. You do not have to be in the field of therapy to enjoy this book, though if you are you will quickly find it becomes your bible for helping clients develop their relationships. If you are reading it simply for pleasure, or with an interest in developing your own relationships, you will find yourself stating "Oh my god, that is so like me" or, "Wow, it's not just that you don't care" on numerous occasions. Very much a book your fellow commuters on the train will lean over your shoulder to read because they want to know what has got you so amused and engrossed that you missed your stop.
Read this book and you will finally understand why your friends or partners require different language or action to internalise that you care, and will help you to curb behaviour that will be driving your partner potty, even though to you it is the 'right thing to do' or so small you can't believe they picked up on it.
Love Birds offers the personality of a chat with an informed friend, with the backing of scientific fact and Trevor's years of working with clients to improve their relationships. If you read any book this year on relationships, friendships, self-help or therapy... in fact any book at all that you want to be gripped to from front to back, make it Love Birds. I would give it six stars if I could.
