Lady Helena Trevallier was a strong heroine, albeit a little foolish at times. She didn't conform to the formalities of the ton and had no priorities of finding a suitable husband.
Hugh Drummond a shipping magnate, was charming and intriguing, but also had no intentions of marrying due to his profession and lack of attraction towards shallow women.
But, as hard as they both tried, as soon as the pair met they started falling for one another. The romance fast blooming and throwing all formalities out the window, sizzling with stolen kisses and caresses.
Throw in a mysterious shipyard saboteur to this love story, and watch how the characters continue to evolve to help solve the mystery.
Both MC's were very well written. Both Helena and Hugh had their own life stories in full swing before meeting each other, that really allowed the reader to understand why they were the way they were.
There were also quite a few wonderful supporting characters that helped the story flow nicely instead of feeling rushed.
The storyline itself was well written, completely detailed to draw the reader into the world i which these characters lived. The mystery aspect put this novel apart from the average everyday romance novel. I would highly recommend it!
