Product Description

Corey had it all - a successful career, bags of charm and, most of all, a bright future with his boyfriend. But, when his other half commits the ultimate betrayal and dumps him for a woman, he embarks upon a wild journey of self-discovery. Soon, he meets a potentially perfect new guy but first he needs to make some life-changing choices. Sexy and genuinely funny (including a hilarious star turn from The Brady Bunch's Jennifer Elise Cox), Love or Whatever is the freshest, funniest gay comedy around.

Another gay rom-com and I have no problem with that at all. This is about Corey he has a good career as a psycho-analyst, his best friend and sister is a lesbian who is great fun and he has a very hot boyfriend. Then his boyfriend gets a relationship wobble and goes to a bar where he gets all squiffy and picks up a woman!

When he confesses to Corey about his indiscretion, Corey throws him out and amidst a glut of self pity decides to turn his life around and try to see if he can meet that `special someone'. Cue the humour - and to be fair there are quite a few comic moments to be seen here. The sister, Kelsey (Jennifer Elise Cox of `The Brady Bunch' movies) is a force of humorous nature. The supporting cast are all more than above par, but some of the jokes fall a bit flat or fall into that comedy cliché mode - like an old woman supposedly being shocking because she talks about sex.

That aside this is quite a lot of fun; there is some nudity but all a bit tame in that department. It is really about relationships, love and doing the right thing - even if you get it wrong a few times first. Tyler Poelle as Corey -he was in `Scrubs' - is a great choice for the lead and his co star Joel Rush as Pete the pizza guy is spot on - he was in some of the `Eating Out' films. This is far from being original, will not enlighten you on any aspects of being gay or bi or whatever, but it is still a good watch.

Gloriously OTT performances from most of the, on the money, cast make for a delightful, if unsubstantial, gay themed rom com. The guys are hot. The allegedly strong, according to the back cover of the DVD, sex is relatively inoffensive. There is some male nudity but nothing too gratuitous. The film is NOT an 18. It does run for around an hour and 20 minutes. Tyler Poelle is wonderfully charming as the unlucky in love lead. And he has a nice ass on him too. Here he is more than ably backed up by a strong supporting cast not least a perfectly catty Jennifer Elise Cox as the lesbian sister. As the scoundrel who breaks our heroes heart David Wilson Page looks every inch, so to speak - he's relatively short, the god of Corey's life. And as the light at the end of the tunnel, pun unintended, Joel Rush is strikingly handsome and hugely affecting. Even the sex scene between Corey and Pete is not explicit. A little sad in places but with a happy ending.

I enjoyed this gay rom com that come with a twist in that the lead character Corey madly in love and planning to propose to his partner is shocked to find that he is bi-sexual and having a relationship with a patient of Corey. Gradually he comes back into society with the help of sister and meets the man of his dreams but does not realise it at first. After various twists in the plot love wins out. The acting from the cast is excellent and selected ones do look great with their garments off as well. A film I recommend whole heartedly!

I have said it before and I say it again. To create a good comedy is not an easy task and "Love or whatever" is another example of a comedy that is not up to the mark. There is far too much overacting. The girl's poetry reading for example is embarrassingly silly and unbelievably overacted. To claim that this film is "the freshest, funniest gay comedy around" is according to me the exaggeration of the year.
There are, to be fair, some enjoyable moments but they are far too few to impress me. Joel Rush (Pete) is by far the best actor and saves the film. He really stands out from the rest. He is absolutely adorable and deserves a five.

The characters were self obsessed and none were likeable. The main lead was weak.
The love story was not convincing between a handsome, dogooder and a lame, self obsessed wall-flower type.
There was also the predictable loud mouth female friend thrown in to try to salvage the script, but sadly added to the mess.
A basic film formulae that just didn't work. You'd be better watching a repeat of a good film.

I wasn't sure at first after seeing the trailer, but the film very quickly grew on me and was well worth giving it a shot. Keep a look out for the end credit sequence, it ties it off very well, certainly made me chuckle. What goes around comes around!

At first I was not too sure about the film but after watching it again I became quite involved and thought it was well cast.

Love Or Whatever is completely unbelievable, unfunny and unromantic. The main character is ugly and obnoxious, a whining, self-obsessed creep. We're supposed to believe that two West Hollywood gym bunnies are in love with him. We're supposed to believe that he's a licensed, practicing psychotherapist. We're supposed to laugh at a slobbering, leering, lecherous old woman and at a middle-aged woman who enjoys being attacked by male mountain lions. This movie was made by and for morons.
