I liked this but I'm disappointed only because Lila didn't end up with the man I wanted her to, to the man I preferred and liked so much better I won't say who because I don't want to spoil it for readers.so dear author write a story for him please he needs his HEA . so that is why I have given four stars instead of five.

Love Unspoken (Flawed Love #2) by Lisa De Jong
4 stars!!

“Love is complicated, and in its best form, it’s unspoken.”

I read both these books back to back and I am glad that I did, I don’t think I could have waited for Love Unspoken to be released. This is one of those stories whereby the author pulls you in to these characters lives and they just take over. For the hours that I spent devouring these two books all I could think about were Lila, Blake and Pierce.

“Wounds that deep always leave scars.”

This is another one of those books where everything is a spoiler so I can’t even really go into details either. This story continues where book one ended and Lila was alone, Blake had left and everyone else was left behind to pick up the pieces. Lila was truly distraught, having moved to Chicago to get over one heart break it was too soon to be going through another and it really took its toll.

I have to admit, at the end of book one, despite what he did, I was Team Blake; there is something about a broken man that really tugs are your heart strings. I felt his pain, I felt his anguish, I felt his guilt, I just felt everything and his poor soul just resonated deep within me. But Blake has his own demons to fight and in hind sight I could understand his reasoning, and knowing what I know now he did the right thing for him, but perhaps he could have been a bit more open in the first place.

However, with Blake out of the picture we have Pierce waiting on the periphery and he has to have been the most patient person in the world. He has given Lila time to grieve the loss of her relationship with Blake and finally months and months later he feels he can finally try his chances.

I enjoyed this love story by Lisa De Jong, it was well written as all her books are and it flowed well.
Lila has had her heart broken by Blake who she calls her "bad" guy. He ups and leaves her without any warning, after not dealing well with some issues in his life. She is understandably heart broken. Pierce is her boss and has always been attracted to Lila, he has become her "rock" to lean on, her close friend. He takes care of her. He is kind romantic and sexy and she starts to fall in love with him and he her. He really is her saviour, but then the past walks back into her life and she realises that she still has strong feelings for Blake and as the weeks go by she realises she is in love with Pierce and Blake.
Which one will she pick, or will she be the one who gets her heart broken all over again ?
I really didn't like Lila's character at first, i thought she was selfish and inconsiderate, she did grow on me as the book went along.
I never really got into the character of Blake either for some reason, I didn't like him at all, but I loved Pierce. He was my man, and I adored him.
An all round good love story, not my favourite one of Lisa's but enjoyable none the less.
