This was a trip into a genre I don't usually read but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It tells an interesting story of a internet friendship/romance which sounds straightforward until the elements of distance and other complications are introduced. I don't want to give away too much of the story but it left me thinking about such relationships......what constitutes an affair? How do you separate real selves from internet selves? The ripple effect of such relationships on others who haven't chosen to be involved. Add to this an ending which left me wondering about so many aspects of the main characters. An enjoyable read and definitely on the mark for modern day relationships!

What a beautiful well written book I cannot believe this is her debut novel such is the talent of the writer, I walked each step of the way with Holly feeling her hopes and her pain and actually had tears in my eyes at the end of the novel........ for someone whose normal reading agenda is crime/suspense this is unprecedented ! Well done Alyce Guy I look forward to reading your next one and many more in the years ahead. oris62

Sometimes we need reminding that, in this increasingly technological and material world, relationships between people is what really matters and, for those lucky enough to have them, relationships with special people matter the most.

Love Travels takes us on a journey which gently reminds us of that - thank you Alyce Guy.

Rarely, a book reaches out and grabs first your attention, then all your emotions.

Love Travels is an extraordinarily beautiful story. Joy and affirmation, distance, separation and the passing of time - all are perfectly expressed through the seemingly ordinary events of everyday life. I challenge anyone to reach the end of this book without their feelings being deeply stirred.

I would love to say more - in detail - but I don't want to spoil the story for new readers. So I'll just say one last thing.

I'm an extremely selective reader of fiction, with a strong bias towards Jane Austen! In fact, I have never before read a novel set in the present day. And in my life, I have read only about a dozen novels that mean a lot to me.

This is one of them.
