I was given this arc book in exchange for an honest review.
Faith is a character from love on a spring morning, she runs the grief support group for spouses, having lost her thrill seeking husband when Eric her young son was a baby , now 4 years on Faith is still struggle with his death and leaving her to bring up their son. She doesn't think she will ever be ready to love again or even date, having been on a couple of terrible ones. She certainly isn't ready for the alpha good looking man that is Zander!
Zander is on leave from the army having recently returned from Afghanistan, he rides a motorbike. All the things that faith fears a dangerously hot man doing a dangerous job and ride a bike. They have a chance meeting were Faith picks his brains about sawn off shotguns and kattana swords. Faith is a very successful fantasy writer and needs to do some research.
Zander is hot, alpha and everything a woman could want . Faith is wonderful, caring mother, daughter and friend.
Eric is desperate for a father figure and to have a whole family, someone to share his spy hq with.
This is a wonderful love story with hot men, strong loving women and hot love scenes. As one reviewer said Zoe knows how to write sex.
Really hope we get more of Pine Harbour

This is my favourite series by the author & this book didn't disappoint. Faith is a great character & I think a lot of people could empathise with how she acts after what she has been through. Zander is a contradiction of a character which worked really well. And then there was Eric, Faith's son, who was a sweet addition to the story. This was a sweet romance that I didn't want to end. Eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

One of my favourite series form this author, Zander and Faith's story carries on the story of the Pine Harbour residents whose lives are linked by family or good friend connections. To get the best from this book make sure to read the previous three Pine Harbour book in order, Love In A Small Town, Rafe & Olivia's story, Love In A Snowstorm, Jake & Dani and Love on A Spring Morning Ryan & Holly.

This is one of my favourite small town series – Pine Harbour – and this is the fourth book. Although not strictly necessary that the previous books need to be read, I would strongly advise so you are aware of what has happened with the other characters mentioned and who form part of this small town.

Faith Davidson is a single widowed Mom to four year old Eric, and is gradually pulling her life into shape with the help of her Mother. She has hidden herself away writing her books but knows she needs to get back out there and meet new people. It is whilst she has set up at the corner table in the local eatery to write her next book, that she meets sexy soldier Zander Minelli.

Zander has been serving his country for the last twenty years and is not often at home to see his family. His wanderlust and zest for danger has been satisfied with his job as a soldier but now he knows it is time to take stock and start making plans for his life back as a civilian. He is dreading moving back to Pine Harbour and having the eyes of his family on his every move. But then he meets the beautiful Faith and maybe his life will be something he didn’t realise he was searching for.

The attraction of this pairing was instant and easy to believe. I liked how Faith overcame her unease at Zander’s free spirit and thrill seeking which was related to how her husband had died. This was down to Zander slowly chipping away at her hesitance to let go of the past but this also helped him to resolve some of his own issues. The relationship between Zander and young Eric was so sweet to see and had me sighing. There is just something about a tough, strong, inked, biker ex-soldier, showing the sweet stuff that grabs at my heart.

Really enjoyable novel.

Faith has been a widow for a few years and lives with her mother and her little boy, Eric, who never knew his father. She is a successful author of fantasy fiction. She has a handful of friends but otherwise keeps herself to herself. She’s hasn’t dated in a long time and feels tentative about making that first step. Then, one evening, she meets Zander at a her local bakery, where she’s gone to work on her laptop for a change of scenery.

Zander has just ridden into town on his motorbike. He is on leave for a week, visiting his family. He’s been in the army for 20 years and only has six months left. He looks like a bad boy with his bike, leather jacket, and tattoos. He’s captivated by Faith and feels himself thinking of things that he’s shied away from in the past – love, family, putting down roots.

After her husband’s fatal accident, Faith has tried to live a less adventurous life, diligent in keeping her son safe and avoiding any activities that might hurt him. Zander makes his interest in Faith clear and treads slowly and carefully around her, giving her time to adjust to the idea of them being together. Faith is seriously attracted and distracted by Zander, but is full of doubt their relationship. Zander works hard to convince her that his feelings are real and that she’s worth waiting for.

This author has a lovely writing style. I really enjoyed this novel. It had a good, steady pace with plenty of heat and also plenty of melty moments, too. Zander is gorgeous, patient and sexy. Faith might be a bit paranoid about her son’s safety but she’s also practical and down-to-earth. They are a great couple!
