Rosie Thomas never fails to amaze with her albums. Artists tend to make albums where one song is always a bit weaker, and I have all of Rosie Thomas' albums and all of them have very strong songs, none that I skip in the car etc. My particular favourite in this album is "Two Worlds Collide" she really knows how to portray heartfelt feelings well in a matter of minutes.
A great album, a great artist, need I say more?

5.0 out of 5 stars Like conversations with a friend 26 Oct. 2012

What attracted me to Rosie Thomas' music was an almost conversational quality; similar to a good, deep conversation with a good friend after two glasses of wine. There's an emotional investment that comes through in her music and which is deeply conveyed by her voice. There are little elements of Natalie Merchant but without the feeling of being talked to but rather of being talked with. That's an important difference. For that matter sometimes I feel a little John Denver coming through as well. Some of the arrangements aren't quite what I'd like, as a more acoustic sound is better suited to her, but the friendly tone and foundation always shines through.

Songs like "It's been a really long year" paint interesting memories in a nice personal tone that engages me as a listener. To my ear the composition of the entire album is excellent, but some tracks like "Sometimes Love" and "Long Year" are amazing in both depth and artistry.

I stumbled across her by accident but am so glad I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rosie Thomas - Tugs at our heart strings 21 May 2012

Rosie's new album coming on the flush of her recent marriage is once again a marvel of beautiful music, touching lyrics and Rosie's enchanting voice. I was fortunate to see her perform just 2 weeks after the albums release and she is simply magic. She shared with us, the audience, that it is her desire to pull at our heartstrings and she does just that. Rarely does music affect us so deeply that we are moved but Rosie does it often. There is more joy in this album, Check out "Over the Moon" as well as the sweet and lovely songs that have made Rosie and her band so cherished. She caught me adoring her and dedicated her performance that night of "Since You've been around" to me. I am very blessed to enjoy a performer that is so extrordinary and so very brilliant.

4.0 out of 5 stars Walking on Clouds 17 Mar. 2012

Rosie Thomas' "With Love" is pure delight. "Where Was I" is mesmerizing with its midtempo beat and catchy melody with Rosie's voice sounding like your long lost best friend, "And where oh where were you back in high school when I was broken in two?" "Over the Moon" also glues the listener with its hooks and charming hopefulness of falling love, "When I'm walking with you, it's like I'm walking on clouds." The rest of the set is softer such as the beautiful "Two Worlds Collide," the diary song "A Really Long Year" and slow and lush "Sometimes Love" that sounds like a classic melody. "With Love is an excellent set from this talented singer-songwriter. Enjoy!

I can't say this is my favorite Rosie Thomas album, but there are some amazing gems on this that make the album worth while. Her amazing melodies and personal lyrics really draw you in to what she was feeling while writing. A must have for a fan.
