Absolutely wonderful! A treat to the mind and the ears. The narrator does a very good job, and this book is whole, and unabridged. We learn about the life of Louis XIV, his women, his happiness, his sadness and his personality. Most of the boring stuff (AKA politics and war) are left out. I read history because I want to know what they talked about, how they dressed, what they ate, what they disliked, how they handed their hygiene, how they treated their children, how they loved and how they gave birth. It's all here.
