'Tenderly funny.' --Here Wee Read
'From the start of this book, the caring nature of a little girl and neediness of a lost duckling become intertwined.' --The Washington Post
'This beautifully produced and illustrated hardback is a joy to read. The rhyming text is simple and lovely, and the illustrations, especially the girl's emotions, are well drawn and relatable for young readers. Children will find the insight of being the carer of a young and fragile creature gentle and inspiring.' --Booktrust.co.uk

The book is about a girl and her pet duckling and their love and it'll constantly remind you of a parent-child relationship and it's so tender, so lovely. I think it can be a gift to your child if he/she is going to college or even a gift from a grandchild to a grandparent.
It's about love and care and about letting go!!

I cried my eyes out! Not only did I raise a pair of ducklings as a teenager and found this book bringing back a wave of memories, but the symbolism of raising and releasing your own children was beautiful, touching, and emotional.
I love that is a hardback book with such a gorgeous cover and raised lettering for the title.
