I truely and thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I brought it years & years ago and left it sitting on the shelf as seemingly 'better' books came along. How silly I was!

I've read several other Joan Collins books and this is BY FAR the best. Its a coherent, involving story, with interesting and varied characters. Its central theme of 'hate' keeps the book structured, but also allows for several 'wrong turns' as the story twists & turns.

There are some faults, but I wont linger on those! This book is to be enjoyed, so ENJOY!

A few years ago a friend lent me this book to take on holiday. I remember thinking what does Joan Collins know about writing books. I was in for a surprise because this book had me unable to put it down. I enjoyed it so much that when I saw it on Amazon Kindle several years later I bought it again and enjoyed it just as much. The story follows the lives of several characters in different parts of Europe during the second world war who all share a mutual hate of a sadistic Italian Army Officer.Eventually all these characters are brought together years later whilst making a movie in Mexico. The book has glamour, sex, intrigue but most of all a brilliant story. I would love to see this book made into a TV drama mini series or even better a film. Loved it.

Joan Collins is the QUEEN of adult humour and erotic fiction.

This naughty novel is her best so far with more twists and turns than the M25 motorway.

I had this book many years ago and it was a fabulous story. I lost it due to moving houses but as soon as I saw it on Amazon I ordered it. Going to start reading it again and remind myself why I love it! Jackie and Joan Collins are both fabulous writers and I love their books :D
