The book outlines the incongruities and anomalies in the evidence/events surrounding the death of Kurt Cobain, discovered dead on Friday 8/4/94 at his home in Seattle. Officially ruled as a suicide at the time; there was a suicide note and Cobain was still holding the gun which fired the fatal shot.
However, doubts were raised when Journalist Duff Wilson discovered findings that didn't tally with the official line. Police sources revealed that there were no legible fingerprints on key items at the scene, the suicide note was suspect and somebody had attempted to use Cobain's credit card after the time of death - the card was missing from his wallet when he was found. A leaked copy of the autopsy report, also revealed traces of valium and a blood morphine level of 1.52 milligrams per litre, a triple lethal level that would have almost certainly rendered him unconscious within seconds. If so, how had Corbain managed to pack away all the drug paraphernalia and then go on to pull the trigger?
Prior to cobain's death, Sunday 3/4/94 his wife Courtney Love (in LA at the time) hired private detective Tom Grant to locate her husband, who she said was missing and suicidal. During his investigation Grant noticed inconsistencies and instinctively felt something didn't seem right. After Cobain's body had been found, he discovered critical information had been withheld from him by Love and so continued to investigate the case at his own expense. He became convinced Cobain had been murdered.
Almost from day one, Grant taped all conversations he had with both Love and her attorney.Read more ›
