This is the complelling story of a young man who was living in the unfortunate country of Holland suring the war. Although, it is very short in context and does skip a large period of time, this story is very useful in finding out about this area during the time - or about how jewish people were trated by the Nazi regime in Holland. The young man called Jan takes it upon himslef to protect two young girls, who were made outcast. He often risked his own life and would do anything to help them. The events that took place are almost story like - as he often came in to deep trouble - but somehow always managed to survive. A great read for anyone!
