Watch any of Poliakoff's recent TV dramas (Shooting the Past, Perfect Strangers) and you cannot help be moved by the often passionate, sometimes haunting compositions of Adrian Johnston. Unmistakable in their quality and so evocative of emotions, that they cannot fail to give strength to the quality of writing and performance.
I can compare this only to the music of Michael Nyman's 'Piano' - let's hope Johnston receives as much acclaim for his scores as Nyman has in the past, and let's see more of Johnston's scores for dramas more readily available.

I truly enjoyed all parts of the Lost Prince and found the story highly unusual and interesting. For me though, any piece of film or television is not complete without the music. It adds some hidden emotion that emphasises the performances on screen. I felt that Adrian Johnston's score for this production was simply spellbinding. Unusual in television scores, the so memorable recurring theme stuck in my head and it was that made me want to buy the soundtrack. A truly wonderful score and a unique companion to the film, this CD is a gem, giving the listener hours of true music.
