Product Description

Review

"[A] moving debut memoir... This hard-to-put-down, tightly woven account pulls back the curtain on what's become a perennial news story, while illustrating the impiety of absolute power and the delicacy of innocence."
--"Publishers Weekly," starred review

"From the Hardcover edition."

Very good to read about the FLDS from a male perspective as I'd read a couple from the woman's point of view which left me with a dim view of the role of men in the cult. This book allows you to empathise with the men and understand how the cult is just as destructive in their lives. Harrowing but eye-opening.

I found this book an amazing read, it is a very frank and sometimes harrowing account of the author's childhood within the FLDS. It was so absorbing I read it in one day I simply could not put it down.

This is the first book I've read about FLDS that is written by a lost boy. It was intresting to get male perspective, most ex-FLDS books are written by females. I found Brent W. Jeffs story to be heartbreaking. Great read, I recommend warmly.
