100 recipes from Tom Kerridge that revolutionise lower-calorie cooking - tying in with a six-part primetime BBC TV series
About the Author
Tom Kerridge worked as a chef in restaurants across Britain before deciding to set out on his own and take over a rundown pub in the quiet Buckinghamshire town of Marlow. He opened The Hand & Flowers with his wife Beth in 2005, and it went on to become the first (and only) pub in the world to acquire two Michelin stars. In 2014 he opened a second pub in Marlow, The Coach. As well as hosting two of his own BBC television series, Tom has been at the helm of the BBC's Food & Drink and Bake Off: Crème de la Crème. His previous books include Proper Pub Food, Tom Kerridge's Best Ever Dishes, Tom's Table and the bestselling Tom Kerridge's Dopamine Diet.

I have tried out about a dozen of these recipes so far, and I've only had it about 6 weeks. Compare that to an average cookery book I've bought, where I maybe cook one thing and then shove it on a shelf.
These recipes are tasty, very unfussy and accessible (no 60 ingredient lists like Ottolenghi), and there's a great variety. Apparently it's a diet book as well but you would honestly never know. I didn't see his TV show, I just picked up the book at my mum's and started looking through it. When I got to about the 10th recipe where I thought to myself "That looks delicious!", I decided I had to buy it.
I'm plugging away and trying out a lot of different recipes. I like the fact that the vegetarian options here aren't an afterthought where the chef made a standard and just removed the meaty part. They seem to be inspired by a genuine appreciation of how tasty veg can be on its own.
If you're trying to lose weight I can see how this book would be very useful to you, but it's a really good cookbook filled with tasty recipes. Don't let the "Lose weight" part put you off at all; these meals are tasty!
I have bought more copies as gifts and have and would recommend it to anybody, not just for weight loss but for the taste of the recipes as well - it’s a very cook book
