100 recipes from Tom Kerridge that revolutionise lower-calorie cooking - tying in with a six-part primetime BBC TV series
About the Author
Tom Kerridge worked as a chef in restaurants across Britain before deciding to set out on his own and take over a rundown pub in the quiet Buckinghamshire town of Marlow. He opened The Hand & Flowers with his wife Beth in 2005, and it went on to become the first (and only) pub in the world to acquire two Michelin stars. In 2014 he opened a second pub in Marlow, The Coach. As well as hosting two of his own BBC television series, Tom has been at the helm of the BBC's Food & Drink and Bake Off: Crème de la Crème. His previous books include Proper Pub Food, Tom Kerridge's Best Ever Dishes, Tom's Table and the bestselling Tom Kerridge's Dopamine Diet.

I honestly don’t know how this book got published. A book that’s meant to give low-calorie recipes with the aim of weight loss should satisfy two qualities; being able to rely on the book for three meals a day, not just for treats or special occasions, and contain ingredients which aren’t too expensive (so as to be able to make three meals a day from the book) and easy to source (so as to be able to make the dish.
A really poor recipe book; I would be inclined to recommend Jamie Oliver’s 5 ingredient book, which despite never having read, assume would be much better.
Faffy recipes where you need a chefs kitchen! Also meals are not distingushed between breakfast lunches & dinners. So you can quite easily over eat.
Losing that amount was atributed to stopping all acohol consumption which averaged over 5000 kcals per day on top of his food.
This book is good for a guide to using a low diet but because of the preparation of foods to cook the user if hungry will find themselves 'picking' before the food is ready, thus over eating.
If stuck to then yes it will help as part of a calorie controlled diet but its not all about food, you'll need to do exercise as well to achieve excellent result and lose fat.
The book is split into 7 sections being:
*Fish & seafood
*Chicken & turkey
It is so great having so many recipes available which are all low-calorie. It removes any guilt. Such a brilliant book. I would recommend to anyone just trying to stay slim and healthy. The meals are affordable and enjoyable to prepare. I would highly recommend this book for everyone.
