I bought this book recently, as its just out, but the content is full of useful information and tells you about your body and how it works; how you can lose weight or rather FAT from your body in a way other weight loss books never talk about. You don't count calories or pick low fat meals; instead you read this book and act on it. It explains why we are as a nation getting fatter and how to avoid falling into this spiral of taking the easy way out with all those take-aways. Its a new way of life we have to follow using exercise and a good diet. I can't wait to put this into practice, its just got to work. There is some technical information so you even find out how your body works, what happens when you eat too much sugar and not enough water. I am very happy with this book.

I found the exercise part of this book easier to understand than the diet part, (although I have always been a bit hopeless at understanding carbs and calories)
The High intensity interval training was explained well and has given me hope that this type of exercise will give better results in shorter training sessions.

So we all knew few things, the quality of food is down, portions are up, people seem to be just lazier nowadays, and everyone's ratio of fat/protein and carbs are all messed up.
Not to mention loads of carbs are taken in sugar, which should be treated that akin to tobacco.. no good for you and it's in Everything...

It's refreshing to find a book on weight loss that embraces things like "don't weight yourself, but do measure", and things like food is not all evil, just the portions and frequency that are off.

And while James doesn't dwell on food aspect of weight loss long, I appreciate his heads up on proportions of fat and calorie intake.

As it happens I believe in eating my food as raw as possible and as close to natural as possible, along with that commitment comes a responsibility of gauging my fat intake because I simply detest anything that's labeled "low fat".

For instance anything dairy that's low fat - will have higher sugar content, and that's again not so good... Rather would eat third of the portion, with higher fat content, and less sugar, and then move on to bigger better things... so on and so forth.

Surprising facts that James laid down about fat, certain studies and different techniques of working out - that were incredibly interesting and easy to remember.

The whole book was written in a friendly manner as well, humorous at times, serious at others. I love the simplicity of all the messages and the ease with which the steps to a lighter happier body can be achieved.

Overall thumbs up.
