Arrived early in delivery window; very clear instructions enabled easy construction; impressive design and functionality. Looking forward to the first sunny day to enjoy its products, would recommend to any BBQ enthusiast.
simple i had to add more bars to the fire grill to keep a fire bed and heat, but even that did not work with wood i had to use BBQ coals to keep some heat in the oven, had it for some time and used it 6 or 7 time still cant get it to cook, oven burns bottom and top not cooked or the heat drops so fast u have to add more wood or coals and end up with smoked pizza, not nice. the customer service were not any help at all at la hacienda and the info on how to use the oven was all most no use i say all most, it was good for fire lighting. sorry but may be it is me but i could not get this oven to cook pizza.
Amazing pizza oven for the price ! As with many other buyers the pizza stone was broken in transit (a problem with the way La Hacienda seem to package it) but I contacted the seller (Oxford BBQ's - cheapest option through Amazon) and got a replacement sent through in excellent time ! Sturdy design and fairly easy to use once you can control the temperature - took a while to get the temp stable using a mixture of paper, cardboard and wood using BBQ charcoals, but once I got that steady knocked out 5 pizza's in less than an hour ! Aim for 200-250 C and cook for 8-10 minutes. I did invest in a cover (£23 from Oxford BBQ's too) which fits perfectly and will help to keep the oven in good nick. Amazing value for money when you consider the next cheapest option will cost upwards of £600-700 !
Having wanted a garden pizza oven for sometime this seemed the ideal solution as it is no bigger than a standard barbecue and can also double up as a chiminea and an additional barbecue, with the advantage of being moveable so it could be stored overwinter. The product was meant as a birthday present for me so I was exited when it arrived, I opened the box and started to check the parts, first out was the chimney it had a huge scratch but I could have let that go as It was fixable, the pizza stone was shattered but the manufacturer had at least carefully stacked the pieces together and wrapped them tightly.the body of the oven itself has four hinge brackets one was bent even though protected by polystyrene another had lost one of the two rivets holding it on and as that would have held the door to the fire it seemed quite dangerous to use substandard fittings there. I didn't get any further with construction as I felt the whole thing was a lost cause and have asked for a refund. I think with some major revisions this product may be fit for purpose but I worry about safety if the build quality is so poor and the packaging and sending of broken parts deliberately is very naughty, shame on you La Hacienda.
