This book makes large claims to offer a new way of looking at urban space. It does nothing of the kind. From the use of words like 'engage', 'contest, 'protest and 'mobilise', it is thinly veiled left academic flannel. Much better to stick with Jan Gehl's 'Life Between Buildings' if you can do without the PC hectoring.
