Format: Paperback
"Collection" of books under the same title Looking Closer, is one of the most interesting selections I've ever read (including some other books published by Allworth Press). Besides that they are written on interesting way, they have a lot of information, and each of them can be considered as little encyclopedia, very useful to keep on hand if you are interested in modern design and designers, what they have to say, and even if you are looking for information on history of design. About that historical part, in one very interesting way, telling us, buy itself, this third part of Looking Closer "collection". Namely, design in this book is not presented only as timeline history, but by historically well known persons, too. They are presented with theirs theories, telling us the story about theirs work, through theirs life. All of them marked the time in which they lived, and built the base for everything that we have and see now. They also gave the base for everything that was written in the book Looking Closer 1, and 2.
Through book you are not passing as through expert's texts, but living the life of this period, with understanding how they thought and how they made structure of their - important - work. In the same time you are feeling as you are reading the most interesting classic, which all of them really are.
