This is a great fun flap book packed with interesting information about space, and the amazing things that float through it - stars, moons, comets, and the planets of our solar system. Each double-page spread has a stunning colour illustration, and several flaps to lift to find out more about what's going on in the scene - such as what goes on inside the International Space Station, how astronauts visited the Moon and what they did there, as well as the history of astronomy, from Galileo to the Hubble Space Telescope.

About the Author

Rob studied Egyptology at university, but never thought he'd do much with it. Since joining Usborne in 2005, he's written loads of books about Ancient Egypt, and on topics ranging from space to the story of Islam. He is also the author of several award-winning historical adventure novels, and a hopeless cook.

    Hello! I’m a children’s writer. My books have won some nice awards, including the Royal Society Young People’s Book Prize, and my debut novel WILD BOY was named one of the five best of the year in the prestigious Branford Boase Award. I’ve also written picture books, fairy tales, books about history and books with flaps. Lots of flaps.

This book is a great addition to our look inside learning books.My kids and I have learnt to much from this book.I will attach some photos of what is inside the book to give you a clearer image of what you are purchasing.But do keep in mind it may be designed for younger people but it doesn't mean it can not be used by all ages. I never realised how little I actually knew about space until we started to read this.The only reason it loses a star from me is because it's a lot smaller than the other Usborne look inside books we already have.
