Read a review on this back in June and held off buying until I went on holiday in November. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed thie simplicity of the writing (a man writing through a child's eyes). It had me smiling, it had me in tears. There were no twists to his tale, just a great read. I have just this minute ordered two paperback copies to give as presents to friends - a first for me.

From someone who doesn't read autobiographies, buy it!

An Inspiring story. I couldn't put this book down when I started reading. It is great that Saroo managed to find his long lost family and remarkable how a child survived on his own for weeks in a big city. I do a lot of my reading while I'm travelling to and fro to work and this was a great book which occupied my time. I looked forward to my travelling.

This book was chosen by the Book Club I have recently joined and I will be the first to admit that it falls well outside of my reading comfort zone, I normally read Crime Fiction and Thrillers.

I was hooked on Saroo's story from the first page to the last and the only negative thing I have to say is that the book is too short! This was a quick book to read at less than 300 pages but it was an emotionally engaging book that kept going on until the end.

I rarely read non-fiction and this was a really nice break, I enjoyed reading the story and found it inspirational. A great book, recommend it to anyone.

Easy and quick to read.

Saroo and I were in the same year at a big school and although I knew that he was adopted, I didn't know his amazing story. I really enjoyed Saroo's book, not only because I knew him at school but because it is a wonderful story and beautifully written. I highly recommend Saroo's book.

An excellent read. Felt deep compassion for this young child and later,.as an adult, sympathy for his deep feeling of incompleteness because of loss of contact from his birth mother. It's good to read a book where all comes right in the end - especially a book which is non-fiction.
