The story of Cash and Delilah is one of insta-love, super over the top alpha and just enough hotness to get you through.
Cash is a super hot totally focused baseball player, he has worked his entire life to be number one and to make his father proud. His father is an alcoholic and feels the only way to connect to him is through his favourite sport, it’s the one thing that gives Cash the feeling of being free. He is nothing like your usual cocky baseball players but can he get Delilah to see the real him through all the antics of his friends and team mates.
Delilah is focused on her career and has no plans of getting involved with a baseball player, she has no intention of falling into the trap that her mother did. No matter that she comes from what is considered baseball royalty. She tries to hide from the intense chemistry that sparks between them.
If you like quick, kindle melting books then this is one for you.
Cash lost his mother at a young age and his father to alcohol following her death, yet he has never stopped trying to establish a relationship with his father. His internal little boy shines through the narrative wanting nothing more than to make his father proud. His entire life had been focused on Baseball, it is where he can let go of all his problems and feel like the person he is on the inside. Although he has a cocky personality, Cash is the furthest thing from a player you can get - but with his teammate’s antics and the notoriety surrounding ball players can he convince Delilah to take a chance on him.
Delilah has grown up within the world of baseball, coming from a long line of baseball stars, Delilah has seen the devastating effects the game can have on a family. She is, therefore, determined not to be trapped into the same life her mother was. Although Cash is nothing like her own father, Delilah’s emotional scars run deep and she is unable to stop the projection of all her previous hurt onto the situation with Cash.
I really enjoyed the way in which the story played out, a nice piece of escapism where people can overcome their emotional barriers with the help of the right person. As well as the mending of family relationship of overcoming addiction. A positive utopia. The extended epilogue added to the overall emotions that accompany a happily ever after.
This is a sexy romance story, and Aria has the ability to reel the reader in from the very beginning with her writing talent. I loved this story, and was intrigued and enthralled throughout. I recommend Aria’s work for all, and look forward to reading more.
