the suggested restaurants were nothing more special than any other one to suggest.
Important info such as buses to go to the beach, and timetables, was not there!
I did not use the guide at all...
It is broken down into four major sections:
Page 4 - Plan Your Trip:
Introduction to the isles of Greece, what to look out for (Greek Islands Top 16), what you need to know in advance, touristy stuff, etc.
Page 59 - On The Road (“The Guide”):
P060: Athens & around
P126: Saronic Gulf Islands (5 entries)
P153: Cyclades (22)
P248: Crete (9)
P299: Dodecanese (16)
P372: Northeastern Aegean Islands (10)
P437: Evia & the Sporades (2)
P463: Ionian Islands (10)
Page 506 - Understand (local culture):
History, the Islanders, nature & wildlife, arts, cuisine etc.
Page 542 - Survival Guide:
A-Z Directory, transportation, etc.
If you're planning on visiting more than one greek island, get this book. If you're going on a one off holiday to one island, find a book more specific to that island. If you're a map person, I recommend getting a map specific to each island as the maps in Lonely Planet can sometimes be too small or vague.
