A book that is extremely difficult to put down, so much so, I read it in one go!
A thoroughly interesting story with great characters and a powerfulmessage about the way many of us live in our modern, fast paced world.
The author has a real gift in making characters and situations believable and sets each scene superbly well.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend to all ages. As the reader, you become immersed in the story and whilst there are a number of interesting characters, it never becomes confusing and is brought to a close with real skill - pulling all strands together in an innovative way - whilst giving the reader plenty to think about.
What a brilliant read this was. I could not put it down until I found out how this story unfolded. There is a powerfulmessage within these pages warning the reader of how easy it is to lose one's way in today's busy world. It takes a little robot called UMA to show what is really important in life which is friends and family and the time you spend with them. I would love to have a little robot friend like UMA to keep me on track.
This book is ideal for readers aged 9 years and beyond. It is a wonderful story which leaves you with a warm glow inside after reading it. (Just like UMA). You will not be disappointed.
I received an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering to leave a review.
A book for..everyone! In fact I loved this book so much I think it should be part of the curriculum! It carries a very powerfulmessage. It reminds us 'adults' what is important. Our children want our time not 'stuff' we are all working like 'robots' to accumulate more and more. I started to read this book and couldn't put it down. The author is awesome! I have asked when he is going to write the next one
