I bought this book for my 11yr oldson, my wife picked it up first and couldn't put it back down, much to the annoyance of my son. People all wrapped up looking at their phones and tablets and not seeing the world around them nor engaging with other people or more importantly their family. This book sends a message to spend more time with, and listening, to our family members, especially our children. Life is too short to miss out on these moments.
The Loneliest Robot is a beautifully written book. My 9 year oldson, who is generally a reluctant reader, loved this story and is hoping there will be a sequel soon. Its an exciting, thought provoking story, suitable for all the family. Well done Andrew Glennon for writing such a wonderful, imaginative book.
I am the mother of an 11 year oldson who has struggled to find books that interest him and rarely reads a book to the end, until he started to read The Loneliest Robot. This story really caught his interest and imagination within the first couple of pages and he read it every single night until he finished it. This is a lovely story for both older children and adults alike with a very real message about how we can so easily get lost in technology these days. I would definitely recommend this book.
My eleven year oldson loved this book because it is funny but true to life - he is not a lover of reading so it takes a good story to get him hooked and he didn’t put this book down from beginning to end.
