A book for..everyone! In fact I loved this book so much I think it should be part of the curriculum! It carries a very powerful message. It reminds us 'adults' what is important. Our children want our time not 'stuff' we are all working like 'robots' to accumulate more and more. I started to read this book and couldn't put it down. The author is awesome! I have asked when he is going to write the next one
I was given this book as a gift by a friend. I am a mum to 3 children aged 19,15 & 4. This book is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. It makes you realise as a parent how much time we and our children spend of electronic devices and how we need to spend more time together. This is a great book for young readers (11 plus) upto adults who are looking for a great thought provoking book. I could not put this book down and read within 2 days , my 19 is just beginning to read this book too.
This is a page turner with imaginative characters and a gripping story that is much deeper than it first appears. It gets its message over in a really simple, effective way and has a lot of laughs along the way. I loved the relationship between the main characters and the villains that they meet along the way.
I would recommend this book to teenagers, children of all ages and adults would really get a lot from it too. It has a message that really rings true to the modern world and a lesson to teach about human relationships and modern technology. Loved it!
I am the mother of an 11 year old son who has struggled to find books that interest him and rarely reads a book to the end, until he started to read The Loneliest Robot. This story really caught his interest and imagination within the first couple of pages and he read it every single night until he finished it. This is a lovely story for both older children and adults alike with a very real message about how we can so easily get lost in technology these days. I would definitely recommend this book.
