Having had to compile a London Quiz myself I thought this book would be ideal as a starting point. The questions were divided well by subject and, without using the self-same wording, I was able to compile fairly comprehensive question sheet. I also learned quite a few obscure facts which needed checking - and that is part of the fun of quizzing.
This is a fantastic book to challenge anyone who thinks they know London. Don't cheat by reading the very informative answers at the back, if you don't know the answers hit the streets and find out. What is so special about John Wilkes' statue in Fetter Lane, what's causing that glow in Carting Lame? Great for pub quizzes and anyone who wants to learn more about this fabulously ancient city.
