I don't claim to be an expert on photographic technique, but the results speak for themselves in my opinion. using a panaoramic camera to take spectacular long-exposure widescreen images, Mark Denton seems to have spent the better part of a year in photographing famous landmarks and quiet corners in all seasons, capturing thier magic. The book also has some lively text and elegant notes from Denton on the circumstances (and sometimes the techinical background) of how he took the beautiful pictures, which run the gamut of colour and mood.
As a regular visitor to London, I feel Denton has captured it's majesty and I strongly recommend the book to anyone who loves the city - additionally, as a present for a visitor or friend overseas or elsewhere in the UK, it's just the job. A very handsome volume indeed !
Mark Denton is a master of panoramic photography. His images are stunning, his composition perfect, I have personally learnt a great deal from the photographs in this book. This makes a great coffee table book and you will pick it up again and again, highly recommended
I have to say the copy I bought from the retailer is not in the best condition.
