Had this headset almost 2 years... And it's just starting to throw in the towel :( Using it everyday for about 4-12 hours for 'hardcore gaming' use and general stuff. I really can't complain for the actual use I've had for the £90 I paid. Amazing at everything until very recently, it's had a tough life though and lasted longer then I thought. £90 for 1 year amazing use and 1 year starting to die use. Would buy again in a heartbeat.
PRO's...
- Excellent 7.1 surround sound quality headset, really helped in games like Counter Strike where footstep precision is a must!
- No issues with Microphone quality. The only issue is that with the recording software I use the microphone does very very slightly pick up my mechanical keyboard if there is 0 input from any other sound source.
- Long battery life when charged properly, would last for 10 hour gaming 'wireless' sessions, but general wear and tear dropping it A million times and when forgetting it was plugged in running over the charger countless times I am surprised at how durable it was... I mean I'm a clumsy gamer...
- Amazing comfort, as I said, I could easily pull 10 hour gaming sessions and still be keen for more, never had a headache from the headset or discomfort.
- Being wireless has been an amazing change when needed, it's weird how much you use it wireless just for ease and comfort.
CONS... (slight and understandable to be honest....)
- After a year of long gruelling use it started showing some wear and tear, but that really has been some very bad treatment on my part.
- Doesn't charge properly anymore with the charger supplied with the headset, but charges fine with a normal micro usb ( again this is due to my wear and tear).
- Broadcast's a 'beep' into the Microphone when the headset dies, I don't like this personally and i'm sure people who are conversing with me don't like it either ( I forget to charge it a lot :P)
- Software provided is pretty dire and could use updating...
I'm sure the headset would still be working perfectly fine still if I looked after it more... Spending £90 for amazing use for almost 2 years is a lot better then any cheap thing I've bought for £30 and dieing after 6 months with horrible quality and so many issues.....

I purchased these headphones in January this year and have been running them for ~5 - 6 hours a day with music, gaming and films. Below is my opinion of these headphones after this period.
The good:
These headphones are very good for gaming purposes, with the audio being very crisp and clear in both wired and wireless modes. The 7.1 surround sound allows for location of any players around, above or below you which has come in useful with Rainbow 6 Siege.
The headphones are also very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, with the pads around the ear phones not causing any sweating or irritation even after 5 hours of constant wear. The plastic band also seems very strong and has not experienced any wear or looseness since I purchased them. The padding underneath is also very comfortable and does not induce any sweating or discomfort.
The microphone of the G930 headset is clear enough for in game chat and Skype voice calls and neatly folds away when not needed. The microphone can sometimes be a bit quiet but nothing that cannot be sorted in Microsoft or Skype settings.
The Bad...
The driver software. Oh dear. The Logitech gaming software rendered these headphones unusable in wireless mode for nearly 3 months due to the headphones constantly disconnecting and reconnecting from the PC whenever the Logitech gaming software was opened. When running on Windows drivers the wireless performed perfectly but did not have the volume or G button functionality enabled.
This issue started in September this year and the issue was only just fixed in the start of December with the release of the new Logitech Gaming software. However, to ensure that it works properly you HAVE to install the software in safe mode! I have no idea why, but when installing the drivers on the standard boot the same issues occurred but installing the software in safe mode fixed the issues that were being experienced. Note that this is only with the newest version of the Logitech Gaming software, older versions still give me this problem.
Additionally, the headset it automatically set to disconnect after 5 minutes of not using any of the G buttons or volume controller on the headset. This is good for when you walk away and forget to turn the headset off, but when you are watching a film or in the middle of a match and the headset just turns off it is a real pain in the backside. There is a fix for this well which I have detailed below but it does involve modifying the configuration in the program files so it is best to backup the file before modifying it!
Go to my computer – Windows – Program Files – Logitech Gaming Software – Resources – G930 – Manifest
- Right click “Device_Manifest” and select edit
- Look for battery turnOffInterval="900" and change the value to “0”
- Save the file to desktop
- Copy the file from desktop to My computer – Windows – Program Files – Logitech Gaming Software – Resources – G930 – Manifest
- Make sure you replace the file
- Restart the computer
Again, I recommend to do this in safe mode as when I tried to do this in normal boot the Logitech Gaming software would not recognise the changes made to the config file.
Conclusion:
A good set of headphones that, when all of the drivers work and the headset is functional, is a pleasure to use. However, there are to many issues with the Logitech Gaming software that make these headphone unusable that mean I cannot with good conscience recommend these headphones to anyone who just wants to install the software, plug them in and go.

many occasions rendering the headset useless. The auto shutdown of the headset is set ...
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 January 2016Verified Purchase
Bought these on the 18th May 2015, they are showing obvious signs of wear (even though I look after them very well). The boom mic seems very loose, as if it will come of with very little force. The battery life is dwindling a little. The software is horrendous, many occasions rendering the headset useless. The auto shutdown of the headset is set way too early, and I had to change that in the software config files.
However, even with all the above issues, I'm glad I made the purchase. The range of the headset is pretty good, the sound isn't too bad (much better than my previous headset, but I'm no expert on sound quality either). It's comfortable to use, however I should note that it is very loose on the head, and even a slight tilt forward will make the headset come off, even with adjustments to the band.
Overall, it was one of the cheaper options, even at ~£100, and the quality is subpar for that price. However, there are very few options in terms of decent wireless headphones capable of being used for gaming, not a cheap bluetooth headset with latency issues. So, That's that.
If you can afford it, I would recommend buying a MORE expensive headset, because these aren't worth the price, really.
