I'm using this keyboard with an iPad Air II.

The tablet slides in to the holder with a tight fit and there is a +/- 10mm protective edge on the case to ensure that your tablet doesn't get damaged.

The finish is NOT carbon fiber, it is a durable carbon effect cordura type material and appears to be very hard wearing.

Fitting to the keyboard base is simple - just locate the bottom edge of the tablet on to the strong magnetic strip above the keyboard and that's it. The tablet sits at an angle of around 65-70deg to the vertical, which is just about right when using it either on a table, tilting it on your lap, or on an airline seatback table.

The keyboard itself is excellent quality, with fill sized keys in a standard QWERTY format, with the top row assigned to audio/visual functions.

Excellent - exactly what you need to type properly on your iPad

This keyboard is superb. It looks nice and fits well round the iPad. I've used it on a daily basis since June and had no problems with it protecting the iPad and it's fine to flip round to type. Looks good and a nice grippy surface on the outside for holding it.

The keyboard itself works brilliantly - not noisy, nice easy action on the keys and the right size for pretty swift touch typing. The battery life is amazing, I may not actually have had to charge it in the months since I bought it. You do have to compromise a little bit on the position of the iPad when you use the keyboard - it's not adjustable and the position is quite vertical, but you get used to it.

The keyboard has protective stubs on the corner that keep the iPad off the keys, and mean you can fold it over so the keyboard is tucked away and just use the screen.

The only slight criticisms are that the " and @ keys are transposed so touch typists have to get used to that, and the keyboard automatically capitalises the start of a new line or web field, which is annoying but can be worked around.

All in all it's just what you need and the best product of its type that I've found.

Broke in less than a year - very poor customer service from Logitech

Broke after 11 months and very poor Logitech customer service

I had this for 11 months and I must admit it was good most of the time, lightweight and really good keys, hardly ever needed charging.

BUT...

There is a small piece of plastic at the top left which holds the iPad in place and one day it just snapped off and the ipad would no longer sit correctly, rendering the product useless. I duly contacted Logitech as it apparently has a 2 year warranty but I could not get any answer out of them. Quite frankly their customer service is terrible and in the end I had to raise a case with Amazon.

In the end I was so annoyed with logitech i have asked for a refund instead of a replacement and I will be thinking twice before buying any Logitech equipment in future. Anker seem to be leading the way in this area now anyway and I have had great service from them in the past.

On the negative side:
The case is canvas not carbon black. The case does not lock when close so I can't see how that's going to be very protective. I am using an elastic band in place. There is really only one typing angle. Two angles means that you can type at a slanted upright angle or use it flat when no using the keyboard. God know how I am going to replace the battery. Supposedly you have to prise open the top of the case with a screw driver, but the case looks completly molded and not like a bottom with a top lid. I tried anyway, as I'd rather know now than when I panickily need it and it stops working. I have managed to dent the plastic but nothing opened. Logitech makes an economy of words in instructions: cryptic drawings are your clue. Had I not known how to connect a keyboard to an ipad I would have been at a loss.
On the positive side: you can use your ipad flat. Since I knew what to do, I connected it to the ipad in seconds.
I don't think this case is great value for money, especially if I have to replace it because i can't change the battery in three months. Disappointed.

Raised bezel scratched screen over time

I thought the keyboard was wonderful since its purchase in 2017. Nice keys, good spread, superb battery life, slimline profile when iPad has been fitted into the case. When the folio is closed, the keyboard sits flush against the screen. Over time, I now have a line across the screen exactly where the edge of the keyboard sits against the screen.

Most iPad users will know the cost of replacing an iPad Air 2 screen that is out of warranty. I am now faced with a costly screen repair which is almost the cost of a new iPad.

Purchase at your own risk.

I really liked this case at first despite the quite hefty price tag. The shortcut keys and the keyboard itself are a joy to use. I use all my fingers to type and a good keyboard is really important to me and this case certainly does the job.

However, after having the keyboard case for just over a year now, the iPad keeps on either sliding downwards, frequently hitting the on/off button and also quite frequently falls out at the frame fixings seem to have widened or loosened. This is not very good and not a long lasting product. I have to go looking for another one now as the iPad falling out is getting quite annoying now.

The plastic edges holding the iPad in place keep breaking! This is my second case and still they break. Tried supaglue - unseres. Otherwise great keyboard and overall feel. Until Logitech improve this case, it is a total waste of money. Come on Logitech, either improve this case or withdraw from sale. It is not fit for purchase.

Bought this for my sons ipad, that he got for his birthday, I already have one for mine, and would never leave home without it, my ipad becomes a laptop, so easy to use. The unit needs to be charged up though.. for me thats about every 5 months, and i am a heavy user!!! easy to clean with baby wipes, lovely reading position.

I dont know why everyone doesnt have one of these, nice touches such as one touch screen print, turn off, adjust volume etc, and superb battery life, Logitech got this item just right
