Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset
It’s easy to be passionate about winning, but at Logitech, our passion is in the science that makes winning possible. We build precise gaming instruments. We advance technology so gamers can reach new levels of speed, precision, reliability and comfort. Science is our philosophy, our methodology for studying, testing, and advancing gamers’ experience -- in the lab and in the game.
Level Up without Being Tied Down -- in 7.1 Surround Sound
No wires to tie you down. Surround sound so detailed, you can hear your opponents before they see you. With a lag-free wireless connection and powered by Dolby Headphone 7.1 surround sound, G930 keeps your head in the game for up to 10 hours between charges.
Immersive 7.1 Surround Sound
Hear them before they see you with up to 7 discrete channels of audio data plus Low Frequency Effects (LFE). Dolby technology perceptually positions each channel in the correct location to reproduce multi-channel content the way developers intended.
Lag-Free Gaming-Grade Wireless
Just plug the USB adapter into your computer for a powerful, reliable 2.4 GHz connection. There are no audio delays -- proprietary Logitech technology is up to 38% faster than Bluetooth. The Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset automatically hops between frequencies to keep the signal clear and strong.
10-Hour Battery Plus Recharging Base
Plenty of battery power to get you through even the most epic gaming sessions2. The Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset includes a base, which recharges the headset and powers the wireless adapter with a single USB connection -- even while you're playing.
Three Programmable G-keys
Gain one-touch control over in-game elements like chat clients, music, voice morphing and more. The keys are conveniently located on the left earpiece for quick access and you can customise each control, thanks to the easy-to-use Logitech Gaming Software.
Folding, Noise-cancelling Mic
The folding, noise-cancelling microphone reduces distracting background noise and can be stowed and muted in an upright position. The Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset also features an on-ear mute button, which mutes the mic and activates red mute light for visual assurance that your mic is off.
Works with PS4
The G930 headset works with your PlayStation 4 in stereo mode. Experience chat, voice interface and gaming audio in rich, detailed sound.
- Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista
- PlayStation 4 in stereo mode
- USB port
- Internet connection for optional software download1

1. Thick metal band through headset to keep it sturdy
2. Good sound, 7.1 when set correctly sounds great to me, much better than standard stereo
3. Comfortable and relatively light, although I do weightlifting and my neck is pretty thick so take that with a grain of salt, I do not feel it however
4. Decent wireless range, I can go from my room (bungalow) to the kitchen, living room, toilet or wherever and still have these going more or less problem free unless *see cons*
5. removable material on the padding for the ears, it's really great for cleaning it and maintenance.
6. Good charge, lasts a good long time
1. The wireless will absolutely cut out when near a wireless router or something emitting a heavy wireless signal like getting called on skype on your phone etc.
2. The padding on the headset will flake off over time, it's not particularly resistant to sweat so make sure to wipe it down if it's a hot day, the material padding on a 430s (had those too at one point) was much more durable, it'd get dirtier for sure but it could be washed thoroughly.
3. Weak plastic joints, this is the biggest let down of the product in my opinion and the reason why I give it 3 stars and feel quite "meh" about it, it feels relatively sturdy and good overall, however the joints did fail on me today by popping out and coming apart, placing it back into the socket it belongs is a no go and there's really no way to fix it once this happens, there really should be a metal joint with the band.
Overall it's a satisfying product to use, build wise however it won't last you 2 years if you use it as much as I do (which is a lot). I would suggest them making the joints much stronger, place some metal rotational joints or at the very least make the material around them much stronger. I took good care of my headset, didn't throw it down, regularly charged it and kept it out of the way during periods of non-use. I would not recommend it at this price it's currently at (I got mine way cheaper from amazon, not sure what they're playing at with this.).
If you have a wireless router in your house or any other device that needs to transmit over a 2.4ghz range then you won't be able to get these to work. 7.1 surround often has issues where it will only play from two speakers and approx 50% of games and media players seem to be "incompatible" and produce appalling sound quality with crackling, overloaded low tones and tinny sounding high tones. On those rare occasions the software isn't crashing your operating system, all speakers are working AND you've found a game Logitech approves of, it will sound nice for at least 20 minutes or so before cutting out.
The problems are near universal with good reviews, with some acceptions tending to be from owners who deny problems to justify their £100+ purchase. I was recommended by a fellow G930 owner after my Corsair H2100 USB dongle broke. After I started having issues I questioned them further and found that they had the exact same issues and just thought that was a normal thing he had to live with when using wireless headphones.
I won't ever go near a Logitech headphones again. You might be one of the tiny minority who don't encounter issues but £100+ is an inexcusable asking price for such a gamble
I have to say, I haven't had any problems with this headset. I have a gaming desktop computer and the headset works perfectly with it. I don't usually open the Logitech Gaming Software so I am not using the 7.1 surround sound, but that's because of the fact that I don't really like it. I don't know what it is, but I just prefer the stereo mode. I have been walking around my house with this headset on my head I know at which points it disconnects. The range in my house is about 7 meters, but that's because there's many walls blocking the connection. I have enjoyed having the ability to go get a drink while listening music wirelessly.
I use the G930 mic on Skype and Discord, and my friends have said that the voice quality is "alright". I also have tried recording my voice and the mic indeed is alright. No background noise, but of course it doesn't match any high quality mics either, but you can't except that from a headset without paying a lot more.
I would buy this again, and I am happy with the 3 year warranty it comes with.
