The first mouse lasted about seven months before I returned it for a refund and bought the second. I've had the second mouse for about 20 months and it's been getting progressively harder to work the middle click for the last three or four, so I'm contacting Logitech for a refund/replacement again - it's got a three-year warranty, so I hope they won't give me any hassle. Assuming they refund rather than replace, I'll probably buy another one and see how that behaves.
Edit 10/1/19. Third mouse has gone exactly same way. Now completely non-functional after 11 months.
Unfortunately my mouse has developed an issue with the middle button, it simply stopped working. I thought, well not a big deal, one time it can happen, quickly contact Logitech about warranty replacement, they have sent me another unit in less than 72 hours. Good. It all was solved in August 2016...
Today we have February 2017... 7 months later... What Yesterday happened ? MIDDLE BUTTON STOPPED WORKING AGAIN !! Without warning, without any issues what so ever. At first I thought that it was just an issue with Logitech software (I have a Logitech G910 + G13 with lots of macros, so it could happen), unfortunately it turned out that middle button died again, sometimes it will work, but in most cases I have to click 5-10 times till it will record it.
Unfortunately Logitech is mounting some extremely cheap buttons and only solution is to re-solder middle button with something more long-lasting (any button from electronic shop for £0.2 will do, still most likely 10x more expensive and more reliable that what Logitech is mounting up there).
At least middle button seems to have the same pin-out so any one can re-solder any other generic button !
Unfortunately Logitech declined my warranty request (too bad as I've paid £70 for something what didn't last 12 months and now again it failed to last 12 months, pretty bad deal if you'll ask me).
Please check forums, you'll notice that it is common that these mouses middle button is dying after short time.
I am working as software engineer so I am using on daily basis my workstation (8-10h a day) so if you are not so heavy user it might die a little later (after a year, so after a warranty period (what seems to be exactly what Logitech planned)).
Look at another brands if you are an extreme heavy gamer (if will die quicker if you'll use middle button more often than I do (in games you can often use it)).
Not worth it at all. Unless you want to re-solder middle button.
Beside that it was one of the best mouses that I have ever owned in past 30 years.

Batery life is better but you lose things like:
- Chargeable batteries, I can charge the batteries by simply plug it into the mouse.
- Low DPI, this is around 2500 dpi at 500 rps while G7000 is almost 6000 dpi at 1000rps, the difference in sensitivity is miles away. It makes such a difference to move the mouse from one screen to another that you actually have to move the arm (not the wrist, as in the G700).
- No quick scroll and integrated back and forward buttons. The wheel on the G700 has a button, quick scroll and back/forward buttons, and believe me they work like a charm as I have been using them 6 years now.
Other than that, the layout of buttons is good but not great to my taste, feeling is good though. It's a good mouse, don't get me wrong, but coming from a G700 I though that after 6 years of development this would have been a much better mouse.
The functionality of the mouse is good, the feel and pointer accuracy is good; it would be a decent mouse for £30-£40 but do remember to buy and handful of rechargeable batteries at the same time, or you will be taking a small mortgage to keep it in power.
The most ridiculous thing is that, for some reason, Logitech decided not to include rechargeable batteries IN the mouse and include a USB charging port. That would have made this a good purchase. As it is, once you factor-in another £20 for a rechargeable set-up on top of the £50+ asking price, this is a very expensive money pit for a decidedly average mouse.
Buy something else.
It's well made, feels great in my hand and has a nice weight to it. It's excellent for gaming, I play BF4 and it performs really well.
If anyone tells you wireless mice aren't as good as wired ones they're talking total nonsense. I've been a gamer for around thirty years and had always used a wired mouse, since owning the Logitech G602 I'll never go back. No more annoying cable getting trapped or putting me off as it pulls on other cables, that was really annoying.
