Well, this is a good Bluetooth keyboard designed for your PS3 but also works pretty ok with a Bluetooth enabled laptop/pc etc. I often connect my Vaio laptop to the TV to watch online channels hence I needed one to be able to use it from my sofa, and as I also have a PS3, bought this one from the US on my way back to London. It works ok with my laptop as well as the PS3 hence no problems there. Response time is good however sometimes you need to wait a few seconds for the keyboard to re-establish the connection if you keep it on but don't use for a long time. On the other hand I have never experienced a serious problem with its connection either with the laptop or PS3. This is an important point as I have had issues with some other Bluetooth keyboards I have tried before buying this one. Especially heard a few bitter stories about other Bluetooth keyboards that wont connect with PS3. Good improvement from the previous version is that you don't need a dongle hence save a USB plug for other accessories. When you turn it on it connects automatically to the latest gadget you have used it with which is also nice and non-problematic. It is pretty stylish as well and fits well with the PS3 though could have been a bit smaller for living room use in my view. A bit chunky if you are going to use it while lying down in your sofa. Keys are well sized (no Windows or PS key though) and touchpad works also ok. Overall a good keyboard and most importantly Bluetooth connection works well with different gadgets.

To be frank, you need to ask yourself the question if you really need a keyboard only for the PS3 (assuming you are using it just for gaming, media and internet, i.e. no Linux etc). For messaging and internet a thumbpad (which I also own.

It connects seamlessly, it makes typing text much faster but

it only implements the X, O, [], /\ keys. No L1, L2, L3, R1, R2, R3, setup or start. So when you sit there trying to use the browser you have no back key other unless you have a PS3 controller by you. This can be taken as a flaw in the browser itself as it has no on screen back buttons etc but it's not pointed out by logitech when you buy it, it's not in the woeful pamphlet you get supplied with and it takes quite some digging on their support site to see why they do not implement these functions - basically they blame sony.

Other than that it's a good wireless keyboard and mouse combo, just not as good as I expected it to be.

I bought this mediaboard for use on a Windows XP based PC that we use as a media center in the lounge to replace a previous unbranded bluetooth keyboard. Having read a number of reviews it seems clear that the mediaboard is basically a PC type keyboard with a few PS3 features thrown in, rather than a PS3 keyboard that happens to work with a PC. You can see elsewhere how well it works with a PS3, but I thought it might be useful to tell people that it definitely works fine with a PC too.

It took me only a few minutes to set up. Unpacked, put batteries in, turn the mediaboard power on (top right), scan for new bluetooth devices on the PC and press reset on the mediaboard (on the underside). Tell the PC that you wish Windows to chose the pairing key, then type the pairing key that Windows gives you into the mediaboard and press Enter. It then paired with no problem and worked fine, recognising both the keyboard and touch pad parts of the mediaboard.

The mediaboard powers down to a low power state after about 5 minutes without being used, which saves battery life if you forget to turn it off with the switch. I cannot see any way to configure this time out. The mediaboard returns to full operation after about 1 second after it is turned on. Also, if the mediaboard went to sleep, touching a key or touching the mouse pad brings the mediaboard back to life, again after about 1 second.

Technical. There are 5 extra buttons along the top of the keyboard. Menu, <<, >, >> and DVD Menu. The two menu buttons appear to have identical scan codes to the function keys F1 and F2 (59, 60), so not sure what the point of those is...

A very good value keyboard. I bought this as I use my large laptop both for travel and as a desktop replacement but, as the computer is quite heavy, I use it at home on a small folding table. 'Though designed for multimedia use, the keyboard allows me to sit back from the laptop and type continuous text via a full-size key layout that includes a small track-pad.

Pros: Bluetooth, sets itself up on first use; a few dedicated multimedia keys along top of key array; very lightweight; good key action ('though slightly light); incorporates small track-pad.
Cons: Key response time can seem slow compared to laptop's own keys - possibly an issue for very fast typing; no separate number pad; feels a bit 'plasticky'; track-pad offset to right of keys - a bit awkward if one's used to a track-pad below the keyboard.
