EDIT: After having this camera for 6 months now I can say it's going in the bin. Constant disconnections make this thing completely unusable. It isn't a Wi-Fi issue on my end either, my access point is literally 4 feet away from the camera and all other devices on my network don't have issues. I cannot recommend this camera at all.I've got a lot of HomeKit devices and tried a few cameras. One of the reasons I chose this was because it doesn't rely on any other app, you can setup and manage it all from within the Home app. Combine that with a good router (or better yet, a HomeKit secure router) and you can limit access to only the local network and be certain your footage is seen by only you. Note: this doesn't mean you can't remotely view the feed either, your home hub (HomePod or Apple TV) will still let you view it away from home. This is obviously a HomeKit exclusive camera so it's meant for those who are invested in the Apple ecosystem. I've got the 2TB iCloud plan so I can have 5 cameras recording to the cloud. Note: Apple are removing the limit of 5 cameras come fall, so unlimited! The picture quality is good and the angle is amazing, the lens really can pick up a large wide area as can be seen in one of my images. Having said that, I've tried the Eufy indoor camera and that is a crisper image, but I don't really trust Eufy for a camera I have indoors...The night vision also isn't as great as the Eufy indoor camera either. One of the images I've attached shows the night vision when I've got two lamps on. The night vision also gets triggered at much higher light levels than the Eufy I used to use.The two-way audio is a really nice feature, lets me check my pups are okay and make sure they're not up to no good...Overall I'm happy with the camera, it feels really solid and the picture quality is good enough for my needs. One of the main selling points for me is the privacy aspect of being exclusively HomeKit.

Frustrating devices, very good when they work - require quite a lot of sodding around with when they dont.

I have two at home, one works all the time on the wifi network, the other just goes offline from time to time and requires deleting and removing from the HomeKit setup and then resetting and then adding in again.

I have replaced this camera with a brand new one to no avail. Logitec support were not much help either.

There are better and more reliable camera options available though few HomeKit ones...

A good sturdy camera which integrates well into the HomeKit app EVENTUALLY. We already had a Circle 2 camera and numerous other HomeKit devices and an Apple 1 account allowing online recording for up to 5 cameras. The camera installs with a QR code. It seemed to install but failed to show up in any HomeKit menus on several iPhones and iPads. Eventually figured out it needed a manual reset to install properly (hold off button for 9 seconds until lights flash). Then Installed on on the iPad in use and could be configured. Then the invite to our other iPhones and iPads to add it to them would not work. Eventually had to reset our HomePod and set up every device again to get full integration on all devices. There are lots of similar issues in HomeKit forums. Apple security is excellent but it does seem to create lots of setup issues. Once working it has an excellent 180 picture quality and lots of automation options. Pity Logitech have dropped the use of their own app as an option instead of HomeKit as it was easier to set up and use. It looks and feels weatherproof but the style is a bit strange for an outside wall. Time will tell. In use for a few months now without problems. I really like the way all our HomeKit items integrate on one screen and can be linked I.e. if the camera detects, put the kitchen light on. Fitting was a problem as it only pivots on one axis so fitting at an angle would only allow limited movement. Bought a pair of small black ball joint brackets for wall speakers from screwfix. Perfect match and no mods needed. Needed an 18 mm hole in wall to fit the usb plug through and a socket indoors for the wall brick power supply. Not cheap or perfect but works very well.

I bought this due to it's HomeKit integration and secure video. It works so well. Setup took 3 minutes, I can view live and recorded stream on all my apple devices, it can differentiate between a car, animal and person. Wifi seems ok it's around 7 meters from the router. Really pleased, not sure how it will fare in the cold, rain or just after time but so far all good!!
Fitting it, 2 screws to attach the wall plate to the wall and it fits on easily. the cable is over 2m long and has a USB A end, the package comes with an adapter to plug it into 3 pin etc.

I have had two of these cameras for three years using them with Apple HomeKit. You cannot have motion detection turned on as they give a notification literally every few seconds. That’s why you use these cameras! They continuously not responding and it is difficult to get them back working. One of them is currently not working and nothing I have done fixes it. I have spoken to Logitech’s customer service but they have been absolutely no help. They have me do everything that I have already done and they still don’t work. Don’t buy them. I would give them a 0 if I could.

It needs to be electrically restarted once a day, otherwise it’s not working in Apple home anymore.

Clearly a firmware problem but nobody gives a shirt at Logitech. Bad support.

I connected it to a smart plug and restarts it every morning..

      When it works, it’s good.

      I don’t recommended it.
