Unfortunately I find the usage of this pan pretty taxing. Almost everything gets stuck to it, also I have found when cooking vegetables the black coating can rub off on to the veg which doesn’t look appetising whatsoever.
I tend to use the pan now for things which require the whole thing to go into the oven (i.e. roasting bones, making a gravey or using it to thicken sauces up). Please remember to use an oven glove because it obviously can get VERY HOT!!!
The postage & delivery was great but not what I had hoped for...
This little 8 inch was not so well pre-seasoned as the large 12 inch pan I bought but I got there in the end; easy enough to do in the top half of a very hot oven, just needed four or five rounds of heat up and cool down.
I very rarely use washing up liquid on mine unless I am going to give a coat of oil in the oven, I just use a brush or the reverse side of a typical washing up sponge.
Great pans, am thinking of buying one of those with a lid and a baking tray.
They are so much easier to care for than most people think.
I just run mine under hot running water NO DETERGENT... rub with kitchen utensil brush...wipe excess water off then place on a low heat on top of stove to dry out..... Storing I place a large coffee filter in this absorbes any moisture in the air that can turn them rust...also if rust you just season again then like new....
Best tasting food ever....Would recommend everyone to change to cast iron.... Will never have to buy a replacement...Can make them airlooms they will last for hundreds of years if taken care of...
This is a superb pan and with the added benefit of getting a source of iron in my cooking
As these are created through sand molds, the new one I've received was slightly better! Every pan may have slightly different finish, my previous one had a tiny volcano in it, but doesn't have huge impacts, but the new one I received was super smooth, can't wait to start cooking and seasoning it!
