Sophia is out celebrating with some girlfriends as one of them has got engaged. They end up at a rundown bar, a bit of a dive really not the usual sort of place they would go. The place is pretty mundane except for one thing, there's a door in back with a security guard in front of it. Then a constant stream of obviously rich and well dressed people are going through. Intrigued Sophia who has had more than a few drinks is determined to get past the large security guard and through the door. Approaching the guard and using the oops I'm sorry I've spilt my drink down your shirt, strangely seems to work when he moves away from the door Sophia slips in.
What she finds is an amazing place including bar, swimming pool and a whole crowd of people including at least one 'A' list film star. She's immediately approached by a tall dark and handsome man. Sebastian Lock is the man and Sophia is attracted to him. But something happens when Sophia tries to find the rest room, shocked she runs. But a few days later Sebastian turns up at her work.
While this was an okay read, it's too short to really get where this story is going. Sebastian is dark, sexy and mysterious I got that. But we find out so little about Sophia other than the fact that she's a lawyer. I could have lived without the amount of pages that were taken up with her job, that didn't really seem very relevant to the story and quite honestly didn't move it forward at all. I hope part two has a lot more detail. A description of Sophia would be nice, is she tall, short, curvy, slender, dark or fair? The reader is only told she's beautiful which isn't much help.

I almost passed up on reading this one, after reading the synopsis I thought nah, this sounds like another one of the many books out there that seemed to be a copy of one or another. Well I'm glad I downloaded the free sample and way before I even finished I know I want it. Yes it's somewhat similar but oddly not really, does that make sense? What makes this different is the heroine, Sophia Pearce, besides being beautiful has a good head on her shoulders. She's strong, a successful lawyer, an achiever who can hold her own in any challenging situation.
Out drinking one night in an old somewhat seedy looking bar with her two best girlfriends, she noticed the strangeness of the presence of security guards posted at this obscured doorway in the back and not open for public. Every now and then, some well dressed high powered looking men would come in and goes straight to that door including one of the A-List Hollywood celebrity but would only be let in after passing security check. Being of a lawyer mind her curiosity got the best of her, challenged by her friends she tried to trick the guards to sneak in but nearly got thrown out of the club. Not one to easily give up, she tried again and succeeded, got in through that mysterious door only she wasn't prepared to the enormity of what she'd seen!...from then it got her off kilter that made her run like hell like the devil himself is chasing her leaving her shoes behind.
And that's where we meet the enigmatic devilishly handsome Sebastian Lock, oozing with confidence and sex appeal. His relentlessness would stop at nothing in getting what he wants...and he wants Sophia Pearce.Read more ›
After a night out with friends leads Sophia in to a secret party and face to face a handsome man ~ who she happens to catch spanking his secretary, she tries to forget about that night and how he made her feel.
However, that becomes increasingly difficult as Sebastian seems to turn up everywhere, desperate to peruse her. Not looking for anything serious, he wants to teach Sophia just how good sex can be, but as she becomes submissive to him, she finds herself questioning how much she can really trust him...
I really liked Sophia, and felt that she was a very relateable character. Confident, funny, and determined, she was a genuinely nice person, who worked hard but wasn't receiving the recognition she deserved. She clearly had some serious trust issues when it came to men, so it was hard for her to trust Sebastian in the beginning. However, when she does, she finds herself opened up to pleasure which she has never felt before.
You know when you just read a book and for no particular reason that you can pinpoint, just fall in love with it? Well that is how I feel about this one. Only 120 pages long, this story is pretty short, and only took me a few hours to read, however, that doesn't take anything away from it at all.Read more ›
