Starring Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) and comedian Mike O Connell and hailed as one of the most original American movies of the decade (Indiewire), THE LIVING WAKE is a dark comedy set in a timeless storybook universe. Self-proclaimed artist and genius, K. Roth Binew (O'Connell), has one day to live. He has enlisted his best and only friend, Mills Joquin (Eisenberg), to take him around on a bicycle-powered rickshaw in a final attempt to probe life's deepest mysteries.

But it is the refreshing way the story is simply and surreally told. Small cast, simple and clear direction and an almost perfect performance by Mike O'Connell as K. Roth Binew and Jesse Eisenberg as “Mills Joaquin” his faithful biographer and rickshaw driver.
A refreshing sherbet of a film made in a time when film-making is dominated by CGI special effects and the inclusion of stars who are there for no reason than to attract an audience to the box office, I'm talking about you "Gravity"!
