I picked this book which was available for free on the Kindle Download. The book is about Kayley learning to move on with her life after the tragic death of her husband Alex. Learning to love someone knew and overcoming her insecurities.

I have to say, it was a bit too mushy for me too like an earlier reviewer said and yes the storyline does drag a bit. The most interesting bit was when Ben caught Kayley kissing a friend of Alex and the fireworks that occurred as a result. The rest was hard work and although I always finish a book that I start I found myself skimming the last third of the book.

I am sure the book would appeal to certain people and I hope I am not being too hard on the author. Perhaps the problem was me and not the book and for that reason alone I am giving the book 3 stars.

This was a real tear jerker that left me an emotional mess. It was beautiful, poignant and the raw emotion just took hold of you. I loved the characters. Kayley and Ben have both been put through the emotional wringer: Kayley losing her husband and having to give birth alone; and Ben being cheated on. Both had closed their hearts to the possibility of love again but when they meet sparks fly. Ben is the guy every woman must dream of. He is sexy, caring, patient and Kayley and her daughter comes first above anything and anybody else. He is amazingly romantic but not perfect by any means. Together their hearts open up to the possibility of future love together. This was an amazing read!!

Not my usual sort of book, only got it as the reviews were good and at the time it was on free offer.

Was a good read overall but a bit too corny and mushy for me, reminds me of a bit like Mills and Boon stories, not much substance to them.

Based on this, I would not read any more from this author.

A beautiful but heartbreaking story of love, loss and learning to live and love again.
I loved Kayley and her deep sense of love for her husband, how she coped in the aftermath of tragedy and how she finally let love in.
Dr Yummy....what can I say...Ben was truly beautiful, kind, sexy and dependable. He adored Kayley and Lexi who was amazing and funny. Their scenes together were heartwarming.
A few teething problems and insecurities between Kayley and Ben but this book was not full of angst which for me was an absolute winner but more about learning to be in a relationship after hurt and grief and accepting the love without question. I loved it

Although this was rather slow to get going I still have to give it a 5* rating. The characters were so loveable, every one of them, especially Alexis, she was just so adorable and such a huge part of the book. A great story. I loved Ben, such a romantic. Highly recommend this book and I am looking forward to the next book about Rachel, I am intrigued to find out what happened to her.

Wow. This is one of those books that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading it. It has a blend of emotions throughout and pulls you in from the very first page. This book is a tearjerker and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it as I don’t usually read books of this type, but boy, am I glad I did.

We follow the story of Kayley’s future after the loss of her husband, as she begins to rebuild her life and start a future on her own. While emotional flashbacks are set to hinder her feelings as she moves on, a chance meeting with Dr. Ben has her wondering if there could be more for her. While she forever doubts herself and feeling of betraying her husband cause Ben and Kayley’s friend to intervene and try and set her up with him and Ben is determined to win her heart. Ben aims to make Kayley feel alive again, even though he wasn’t looking for love, something about the single mother draws him in. Burned by past relationships, he himself has to deal with his own issues.

While essentially a tear jerker, this story evokes so many different emotions and at times was so frustrating that I just wanted to bang their heads together! Overall, it was a perfect story that even though showcased tremendous loss, it showed that although the journey of forgiveness and love may be a bumpy one, it is there for us all to find. L.L Collins shows us how essential it is to treasure every moment with the people you love. An amazing story that will stay with me a long time.

What an absolutely beautiful book. It takes a lot for a book to make me cry but I did have tears quite a few times in this book. Not because it's upsetting me, but because even in heartache there's so much beautiful happiness.

The book opens with the funeral of Kayley's husband who tragically dies a month before their first child is born. Kayley's grief is heartbreaking to read. Then after Alexis's (her daughter) first birthday, circumstances bring Kayley to meeting Ben, aka Dr Yummy. Ben realises there is connection with Kayley as soon as he sees her. Kayley does not want to open her heart to love again but the connection with Ben is so strong that neither can fight it. Ben falls in love with little Alexis too who quickly begins to call him daddy, although he always reminds Alexis that she has a daddy in heaven too. We get to read how the two find love and their how their relationship continues.

The two realises their connection quite soon into the book so we don't have to wait for the end for their relationship to begin. Instead we get to spend most of the book reading their beautiful happy journey. Ben is absolutely the perfect family man and how he treats both Kayley and Alexis brought tears to my eyes several times. He truly is the perfect man.

Such a beautiful story, a nice long book too so definitely not rushed, fantastic characters and a perfect ending. Extremely highly recommended
