I have to say, it was a bit too mushy for me too like an earlier reviewer said and yes the storyline does drag a bit. The most interesting bit was when Ben caught Kayley kissing a friend of Alex and the fireworks that occurred as a result. The rest was hard work and although I always finish a book that I start I found myself skimming the last third of the book.
I am sure the book would appeal to certain people and I hope I am not being too hard on the author. Perhaps the problem was me and not the book and for that reason alone I am giving the book 3 stars.
Was a good read overall but a bit too corny and mushy for me, reminds me of a bit like Mills and Boon stories, not much substance to them.
Based on this, I would not read any more from this author.
What I loved about this book is that it wasn't rushed. It is very, very mushy in places, but ultimately the relationship between Ben and Kaylee is breathtaking and sexy.
It is a long read, however, what I loved about it is that it wasn't rushed at all, and I feel that the author closed this book beautifully. Many books I have read lately, seem to be quite rushed and the epilogue has been plonked at the end to just tie off the loose ends. In Living again, I felt that the author could quite easily have finished off the novel sooner, but instead she gave us more! It is a well rounded and easy to read stand alone romantic novel, that will leave you totally in love with Ben and Kaylee.
It left me feeling warm and happy inside but I just don't think the inordinately beautiful Dr Ben exists out there, though many of us wish he did! Sigh...
One of the most vapid books I have ever come across. Ridiculously and sickeningly corny...seriously, get me a bucket.
"Operation love Dr Yummy" ??!!??
"I'm going to give myself to you, if you'll have me"...this is the bloke, (Dr Yummy)...what bloke ever ever ever thinks or talks like that? If he exists, it's really really sad. The number of times he calls her "baby" and "hot", and the way he thought and talked almost had me gagging. Sex scenes thrown in for the sake of it, and were boring.
I really don't think it's meant to be a comedy, but it was almost laughable...but only almost...had my jaw aching with it's sickly sweetness. Terrible.
The basic story line was also a major rip off of When You're Ready by J L Berg...at least that was readable(ish), unlike this poor excuse of a copy.
Another one returned for a refund.
