Product Description

ALL THE GOALS AND ALL THE ACTION FROM THE 2012/2013 SEASON The summer of 2012 marked the start of a new era at Anfield with Brendan Rodgers appointed as the new manager of Liverpool FC. With the emphasis on positive, attacking football the squad is developing into one of the most exciting in the Premier League and the building blocks for a bright future are now firmly in place. The Manager’s first season featured 30 goals from Luis Suarez, an emotional farewell to Jamie Carragher and a series of stylish victories including a 6-0 win at Newcastle. Featuring every goal and every game from the Premier League, FA Cup, Capital One Cup and Europa League this is the complete review of 2012-13.

This review is simply about the quality of the DVD. I don't think people should really link the onfield performances to the performance of the DVD as the producers of the DVD are simply there to tell the story of what unfolded over the past season.

In terms of that, I think Liverpool did a brilliant job. I think we take for granted how good these season reviews are. Take a look at Chelsea, Man City and Spurs if you want to see some shoddy versions of season reviews.

Overall, I enjoyed watching this DVD and am glad that proper commentary is being used for the majority of the review and that all goals/games are there. Would have been nice to see bonus features such as luis suarez goals, full interviews etc etc.

I will continue to buy the season review DVDs if they are of this quality and hopefully the onfield performances will improve and make the season reviews that much more enjoyable.

This is the official review of the 2012/2013 season from Liverpool FC in what is the first full season under their manager Brendan Rodgers who succeeds Kenny Dalglish whose second spell ended at the end of the 2011/2012 season. As far as the campaign is concerned, it was a miserable season for Liverpool fans with some good and bad statistics as the Reds finished seventh in the league as Liverpool continue their love affair with their inconsistency but at least the Reds improve their points tally, goal difference and finish one place higher than the previous season, but in contrast their season has been killed off with the campaign barely started thanks to a poor summer window that cost them dear as Liverpool had to wait until late September for their first league win of the season which came away at Norwich City in a 5-2 win with Luis Suarez scoring a hat-trick and the striker bagged another treble away at FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic and Suarez went on to score 30 goals in all competitions during the season and his final contribution of the campaign was a late leveller at home against UEFA Europa League winners Chelsea and the striker's biting incident in the same match earned him a 10-match ban for his misdemeanor.Read more ›

I reviewed last years edition, and that mainly dealt with the fact that it is a tried and tested formula they run these season DVDs by. As they re-use their setup, I was inclined to re-use my review, but I won't.

I would gladly pay £4-5 more if it meant a bit of features on the DVD. Especially I wish they would show highlights from some (not all) of the u21 and u18 games and spice it up with some player presentations of the highly touted youngsters. I'm sure that every supporter has his/her own view on what features that could be included and you can't please us all, but you could try.

If you only buy them as a collection of goals, then your money is well spent.

For a fan, it's worth a few pennies to remember the good times from this past season, to see the progress we made under Rodgers. To watch the team progressing and improving is a pleasure for a real fan.

The reviews on Liverpool Football Club are good. There could be an improvement of the quality of some of the games featured in the dvd as pictures are not very clear at times.

A must for every Liverpool fan - have built up a collection of them since the early 2000s and was great to add this one to the collection.
