Los Albertos, the Brighton-based Ska punk band, return with a brand new live album, their first live LP. This six-piece ensemble of ska-dance protagonists have been transmitting their hi-energy tunes to the nation since their formation in 2002. Christened by the barmaid at their debut gig in the legendary Prince Albert, their fistful of grinning 2-tone skank with a twist of funk, punk, klezmer, rock and dub has drawn attention from far beyond the pebbled beaches of their hometown Brighton. In their fifteen year history the band have produced 3 albums, a recent EP, and now this live LP. They have extensively toured Europe and the UK and played at numerous festivals including Glastonbury Festival. They have a wide reputation for being an excellent live band, and this record captures their energy and spirit perfectly. They've worked with several producers over the years, most recently reggae and ska legend Prince Fatty, who recorded the band's This Is A Serious Party EP. Prince Fatty brought his mobile recording studio to Brighton's prestigious Haunt venue to record this live album, giving the band a studio quality sound in spite of the raucous, chaotic nature of their live shows.
